  • Publication number: 20090136648
Abstract: It is intended to provide a platelet aggregation inhibitor which can be easily processed into a pharmaceutical preparation and can be stored for a long time, and a health food effective in inhibiting platelet aggregation. The platelet aggregation inhibitor comprises, as an active ingredient, a degradation product obtained by reacting fibrin with nattokinase, wherein the degradation product has a molecular weight of 10,000 daltons or less. The fibrin is obtained by reacting fibrinogen with thrombin.

  • Patent number: 7361462
Abstract: The present invention is directed to directly measure distribution in vivo and the frequency of generation in vivo of DNA strand breaks which induce cell death and mutations. The present inventors accomplished the present invention by providing a method for detecting a DNA strand break in a sample, which comprises a step of binding a PprA protein derived from Deinococcus radiodurans to a DNA strand break and a step of detecting the PprA protein which is bound to the DNA strand break; as well as by providing a kit for detecting a DNA strand break in a sample which comprises PprA proteins derived from Deinococcus radiodurans and a means for detecting a PprA protein which is bound to a DNA strand break.

  • Patent number: 6770476
Abstract: The endogenous plasmid pUE30 from radioresistant bacterium D. radiopugnans strain ATCC19172 or a derivative thereof is used as a vector that can autonomously replicate in bacteria of the genus Deinococcus. It may be used to construct a shuttle vector that also contains a plasmid capable of autonomous replication in E. coli or a derivative thereof and which can replicate in both a bacterium of the genus Deinococcus and E. coli.
