Abstract: A device receives differential data of delayed previous image data and present image data from a data transmitting section and supplies a signal corresponding to the present image data reconstructed on the basis of the differential data to a display panel section having a plurality of pixels arranged in a matrix. This device includes a holding circuit for holding image data reconstructed on the basis of the differential data received from the data transmitting section to delay the image data by a predetermined period, and an addition circuit for reconstructing the present image data by adding the previous image data delayed by the holding circuit to the differential data received from the data transmitting section.

Abstract: The liquid crystal display device, comprising a first liquid crystal cell having first pixels arranged in a matrix shape, the first liquid crystal cell having a first sub-field and a second sub-field, a second liquid crystal cell having second pixels arranged in the matrix shape, the second liquid crystal cell being stacked with the first liquid crystal cell so as to form picture elements, and a circuit for selecting and driving the first pixels and the second pixels in each of the first sub-field and the second sub-field so that a difference between a brightness of the picture elements in the first sub-field and a brightness of the picture elements in the second sub-field is compensated.

Abstract: A display device includes a substrate, a plurality of pixels arranged in rows and columns on the substrate, and a plurality of signal lines for providing an image signal to the pixels on a column-by-column basis. Each of the pixels comprises a plurality of memory elements for storing image signals sent over a corresponding one of the signal lines, a selector for selecting one of the memory elements, and a display element for displaying a dot at a brightness corresponding to an image signal stored in the selected memory elements.
