  • Patent number: 11491397
Abstract: In a first mode, based on an operation input to a controller of a first player, a game system controls a first character object and controls a pointer object. In the first mode, the game system automatically controls a second character object and causes the second character object to perform a predetermined action on a position in a virtual space indicated by the pointer object. In a second mode, the game system controls the first character object based on the operation input to the controller of the first player and controls the second character object based on an operation input to a controller of a second player.

  • Patent number: 11369876
Abstract: During an attack preparation state, a starting point of a first attack is moved from a first position to a second position that is a position where the first attack is executed, and in accordance with switching of an attack execution object from the attack preparation state to an attack execution state, the attack execution object is caused to execute the first attack. On the other hand, in accordance with switching of the attack execution object from a pre-attack-preparation state to the attack preparation state, a second shadow is drawn so that when a range where the first attack of which a starting point is the second position is blocked by a blocking object, the blocked range is a shadow of the blocking object.

  • Publication number: 20150080122
Abstract: There is provided a game apparatus capable of providing enhanced player controllability of characters in a game where a plurality of characters are controlled in a virtual space. An example game apparatus 10 that executes a game where a plurality of characters in a virtual space are controlled includes an input unit 11 for receiving a command from a player and an information processing unit 14 moving a plurality of characters according to the command from the player and on the basis of a relative positional relation between the plurality of characters in the virtual space. When the plurality of characters are not in a predetermined relative positional relation, the plurality of characters are moved according to the command from the player so as to bring the plurality of characters into a fixed positional relation.

  • Patent number: 8421795
Abstract: The game apparatus generates an image of a virtual space viewed from a virtual camera as a reference image. The game apparatus then calculates a blurring value indicative of a blurring degree of the image. The blurring value is calculated so as to become greater than a reference value in the case where a movement amount of the virtual camera is equal to or greater than a predetermined amount, and to become smaller than the reference value in the case where the movement amount of the virtual camera is smaller than the predetermine amount. The game apparatus blurs an image outside a predetermined area of the reference image such that the blurring degree increases in accordance with an increase of the blurring value. The predetermined area is determined, from among an image area of the reference image, so as to include a position of a focus point of the virtual camera. Accordingly, a blurred image is displayed on a display apparatus.

  • Patent number: 7131907
Abstract: An image processing device which places a display object within a virtually-defined three-dimensional space, creates a picture of the display object viewed from a virtual viewpoint with the image processing device, and displays the picture on a display. The image processing device comprises a display body setting element for setting a plurality of display bodies within said three-dimensional space; a display body disposal element for overlappingly disposing one of the plurality of display bodies within the display object, a display body image setting element for setting an image of the display object such that the one of the plurality of display bodies housed within the display object becomes visible, and a display body movement mode reflection element for making at least one movement mode of the one of the plurality of display bodies reflect a movement mode of the display object.

  • Publication number: 20030112233
Abstract: A text 220, which needs to be displayed constantly, is displayed on the floor/wall 206C in the background image 202. This text (number) 220, as shown in FIG. 5, is structured of an aggregate of a plurality of plate polygons 222. Each of these plate polygons can be subject to gradation in accordance with the camera viewpoint, and, as a result, is displayed in a state of being three-dimensional with concavities and convexities against the floor/wall 206C as illustrated in FIG. 4. These plate polygons 222 cannot become the counterstroke face of the ball 212, and the floor/wall 206C is judged as a plane.
