    Abstract: A watermarked image generation apparatus embeds target data in an original image to generate a watermarked image. The watermarked image generation apparatus includes a target-data embedding unit and a marker-image embedding unit. The marker-image embedding unit embeds in the watermarked image a plurality of marker images used for identifying the plurality of embedding areas.
