  • Patent number: 7385341
Abstract: A plurality of magnet rings for correcting a convergence are arranged in a tube axis direction with spacers interposed therebetween, on an outer circumferential surface of a neck. A velocity modulation coil for modulating a scanning velocity in a horizontal direction of an electron beam is placed so that a position of the velocity modulation coil in the tube axis direction is overlapped with those of the magnet rings. At least one of the spacers is made of only a magnetic substance. Alternatively, at least one of the spacers is made of a magnetic substance, and the outermost surface in a radius direction of the spacer made of a magnetic substance is covered with a non-metallic material. Because of this, the magnetic field formed by the velocity modulation coil can be intensified without disturbing the magnetic field of the magnet rings of a CPU.

  • Publication number: 20070182305
Abstract: A pair of coma coils for correcting a VCR that is a positional displacement in a vertical axis direction of a center electron beam with respect to the center of a pair of side electron beams on a vertical axis in upper and lower portions on a screen are provided at a position in the vicinity of an end of a deflection yoke on an electron gun side. Assuming that a maximum value of the intensity of a vertical deflection magnetic field on a tube axis is HMAX, and the intensity of a vertical deflection magnetic field on the tube axis at the position where the pair of coma coils are arranged in the tube axis direction is HC, HC/HMAX?0.8 is satisfied. Owing to this, high-order distortion of horizontal lines on a screen can be corrected.

  • Patent number: 7138755
Abstract: A CPU for adjusting color purity and color displacement at the center of a screen is provided on an outer circumferential surface of a neck portion. BVM coils for modulating a scanning velocity in a horizontal direction of electron beams are provided at a position where they are overlapped with the CPU in a tube-axis direction. A ring-shaped ferrite core is provided at a position where it is overlapped with the BVM coils in the tube axis direction. Two surfaces vertical to a tube axis of the ring-shaped ferrite core are covered with resin layers. Because of this, the ring-shaped ferrite core can be prevented from being cracked.

  • Patent number: 7129628
Abstract: A pair of velocity modulation coils are placed with a horizontal plane including a tube axis interposed therebetween, and a pair of magnetic substances are placed with a vertical plane including a tube axis interposed therebetween. A straight line portion of the velocity modulation coil extending substantially in parallel to the tube axis is placed between the magnetic substance and the tube axis. An interval D between the magnetic substance and the straight line portion is 1 to 3 mm. Assuming that the tube axis is a Z-axis, a size of the velocity modulation coil in a tube axis direction is L, and a position of an end of the velocity modulation coil on a side opposite to a phosphor screen in the tube axis direction is Z=0, a center point of the pair of magnetic substances in the tube axis direction is present in a range of Z=0.2×L to 0.9×L. Consequently, the sensitivity of velocity modulation can be enhanced while suppressing an increase in a driving power with a simple configuration.

  • Patent number: 7126292
Abstract: A deflection coil for deflecting an electron beam emitted from an electron gun is provided outside a cathode-ray tube in which the electron gun is housed, and a phosphor screen is formed. The cathode-ray tube further includes a velocity modulation coil for modulating a horizontal scanning velocity of an electron beam, a first magnetic substance surrounding an outer circumference of the cathode-ray tube from outside the velocity modulation coil, and a second magnetic substance surrounding the outer circumference of the cathode-ray tube between the deflection coil and the first magnetic substance. Because of this, the sensitivity of velocity modulation can be enhanced effectively with a simple configuration while deflection distortion is prevented.

  • Patent number: 7038368
Abstract: On an outer circumferential surface of a neck portion of a funnel, a CPU having a pair of quadrupole magnets and a pair of bar-shaped magnets each having magnetic poles on both sides in a major axis direction are provided. The pair of bar-shaped magnets sandwich the neck portion substantially in an in-line direction of an in-line type electron gun, and are provided so that identical poles are opposed to each other, between an end plate of an insulating frame of a deflection yoke and the CPU at a distance from the end plate. In the case where a rotational shift of electron beams is caused, electron beams R and B are corrected so as to move upward and downward (or downward and upward) respectively by a quadrupole magnetic field generated by the quadrupole magnets. Then, the electron beams R and B are corrected so as to move downward and upward (or upward and downward) respectively by the quadrupole magnetic field generated by the pair of bar-shaped magnets.

  • Publication number: 20050218778
Abstract: When a deflection yoke is provided by winding horizontal deflection coils so that right and left ends of its bend portion on a screen face side protrude farther toward the screen face side than the center of the bend portion does, works for attaching vertical deflection coils and a core to an insulating frame can be carried out stably. The insulating frame is resin-molded so that an opening on the screen face side is shaped along the bend portion on the screen face side of a pair of upper and lower horizontal deflection coils. Protrusions (convexes) are provided at four positions between right/left portion “A” in a X-axis (horizontal axis) direction and top/bottom portion “B” in a Y-axis (vertical axis) direction of a periphery of the opening on the screen face side of the insulating frame.

  • Publication number: 20050162058
Abstract: The present invention aims to compensate for the variation in the magnetization of permanent magnets caused by the individual difference, and further to provide a deflection yoke and a CRT apparatus provided with the deflection yoke which maintain proper correction of raster distortion against temperature change of the apparatus. To accomplish these objects, in a correction unit 340 provided with the deflection yoke 30 of the CRT apparatus 1 according to the present invention, a magnetic substance 342 having an attribute in which its permeability changes with a negative temperature characteristic is attached to a permanent magnet 341 so as to cover at least one of both end faces 341a and 341b. Additionally, in the deflection yoke 30, a paired correction units 340 is symmetrically placed at the top and the bottom of the deflection yoke, opposite to each other in respect to the tube axis of the CRT 10.
