  • Patent number: 5179977
Abstract: A flow control device wherein an operating shaft having two valve bodies is actuated by a single stepping motor to control the flow rate of fluid flowing through at least two by-pass passages. A portion of the operating shaft is supported by a first bearing member located in a boundary portion between a casing with the stepping motor incorporated therein and an air dispensing housing, and the shaft portion of the operating shaft located between the two valve bodies is supported by a second bearing member disposed in the interior of the housing. The two valve bodies are centrally provided with axial holes, through which is inserted the operating shaft to fix the valve bodies replaceably. The second bearing member is formed in the shape of a bottomed cylinder having a flange portion at a free end of the cylindrical portion, and at this flange portion the second bearing member is held between the casing and the housing together with the first bearing member.

  • Patent number: 5170761
Abstract: An apparatus for controlling idling revolution speed of an internal combustion engine in which air at an upstream side of a throttle valve of an intake tube of the internal combustion engine is injected nearby a fuel injection valve from an injection port provided in an intake manifold of the internal combustion engine through a bypass passage and a flow rate control device. The flow rate control device is provided with a valve housing and a valve seat retaining member having a cylindrical wall disposed within the valve housing and a valve body which is moved forwardly and backwardly by a stepping motor is seated on a valve seat. A flow space is formed between the valve seat and an outlet port provided in the valve housing for communicating thereof with the injection port.

  • Patent number: 5085248
Abstract: A flow control device having a single valve body fixed to an operating shaft which is reciprocated by a single stepping motor to control the flow rate of air flowing two by-pass passages. Two air outlet ports and one air inlet port are formed in an air dispensing housing. Interior space of the housing is divided into two by-pass passages by a first valve seat. The valve body fixed to the operating shaft comprises a first valve portion for controlling the flow rate of air in cooperation with an opening formed in the first valve seat and a second valve portion for controlling the flow rate of air in cooperation with an opening of a second valve seat provided in the other air outlet port, the first and second valve portions being formed contiguously with each other.

  • Patent number: 5060910
Abstract: A flow control device wherein a valve member is reciprocated linearly by the rotation of a rotor of a stepping motor to change the flow rate of air flowing through an air passage in a housing. To the rotor of the stepping motor is fixed a shaft having external threads. A guide member with a valve member fixed thereto has internal threads for threaded engagement with the external threads of the shaft and also has a stepped, axial bore for fixing the valve member. The valve member is fixed at a sleeve portion thereof to the stepped, axial bore of the guide member. An annular sliding bearing and a wave washer are inserted between the stepped portion of the axial bore of the guide member and an end face of the sleeve portion of the valve member.

  • Patent number: 5057732
Abstract: A stator coil used in an electric motor, including a bobbin formed by insulating material and composed of a hollow cylindrical portion and two end plates provided projectingly toward the outside in the radial direction from the cylindrical portion at both ends in the axial direction thereof, at least two connector plates made of conductive material of which one end is inserted into an outer periphery of one end plate of the bobbin and of which the other end is extended outside in the radial direction of the end plate, and an exciting coil wound on the cylindrical portion. One terminal portion of a covered wire which constitutes the exciting coil is conductively connected to the one connector plate, and the other terminal portion is conductively connected to the other connector plate. The connector plates are insulatingly held in a housing of the electric motor and their free ends are provided projectingly outside the outer surface of the housing, thereby forming a connector.

  • Patent number: 4942325
Abstract: Disclosed is an electric motor having a stator structure including an assembly of first and second cup shaped members each having a circumferential surface portion in the form of a cylindrical wall having at a free end thereof a recess and a projection formed as an extension of the circumferential wall portion and first and second magnetic pole plates each having an annular plate-formed portion having a plurality of additional recesses formed along an outer circumferential edge thereof. The projection formed on the first cup shaped members is loosely engaged in one of the additional recesses formed in the first magnetic pole plate, force fitted in one of the additional recesses formed in the second magnetic pole plate and loosely engaged in one of the recesses formed in the second cup shaped member.

  • Patent number: 4764696
Abstract: A step motor of the linear type has a shaft threadedly engaged with an inner hole of a rotor and is slidably supported for axial movement by a front bearing and a rear bearing. A stopper pin that abuts on a stationary portion at the rear end of travel projects from an outer circumferential portion of the shaft. The shaft is moved in the axial direction by the rotation of the rotor and the front shaft bearing is provided with a slot allowing the stopper pin to pass through. Consequently, when the shaft is advanced, the stopper pin for stopping the rear end of travel does not abut on the front bearing, and the advance of the shaft is not limited. The slot, therefore, allows the stroke of the shaft to be lengthened without lengthening the front portion of the housing.

  • Patent number: 4751411
Abstract: A step motor of the linear type is composed of a shaft threadedly engaged with an inner hole provided in a rotor and is driven in the axial direction by rotation of the rotor. A bearing for slidably supporting the shaft for axial movement is installed in a rear cover for covering the rear end of the shaft and an enclosing member for the rear end of the shaft is formed in the rear cover. A spring shoe and a coil spring are fitted to the rear end of the shaft enclosed in the enclosing member. Consequently, the assembly of the coil spring and the spring shoe becomes simple, and the coil spring is not exposed. The form of the front portion of the step motor is made more compact in comparison to that of the prior art where the coil spring is externally installed to the front end of the shaft.
