Patent number: 6566816Abstract: A plurality of lamps 21 to 28 inclusive are supplied with a voltage one after another in sequence. A time duration during which the voltage is supplied to each of the lamps 21 to 28 inclusive is controlled in PWM fashion to restrict an amount of voltage supplied thereto. A current detect circuit portion 36 solely detects all of the voltages supplied to the lamps 21 to 28 inclusive, respectively. Each of the voltages exceeds a threshold value, a dead band between two adjacent voltage supply durations. Thus, it is possible to restrict possible electromagnetic noises which are generated upon voltage supply to lamps 21 to 28 inclusive in a vehicular lamp control apparatus in which the lamps 21 to 28 inclusive are supplied with voltage from a high voltage battery 11.Type: GrantFiled: September 19, 2001Date of Patent: May 20, 2003Assignee: Aisin Seiki Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Takehiko Fushimi, Hiroshi Kajino, Katsuyoshi Mizumoto

Patent number: 5817940Abstract: An angular rate detector is disclosed having a first and a second detecting electrode 6a, 7a, which detect a second oscillation produced by Coriolis force, and disposed at locations which are symmetrical with respect to a direction of excitation D2 of a piezoelectric oscillator 2 and which corresponds to nodes of a first oscillation produced by the excitation. When the piezoelectric oscillator 2 rotates in a certain direction, a first signal appearing at the first detecting electrode 6a will be lagging in phase while a second signal appearing at the second detecting electrode 7a will be leading in phase. An electrical circuit produces an angular rate signal which represents a phase difference between the first and the second signal.Type: GrantFiled: March 12, 1997Date of Patent: October 6, 1998Assignee: Aisin Seiki Kabishiki KaishaInventors: Toshihiro Kobayashi, Ken Okumura, Katsuyoshi Mizumoto, Isao Hagiwara

Patent number: 5471875Abstract: A sensor for detecting rotational movement includes a cylindrical shaped resonator having an outer surface, a first pair of diametrically opposed driving electrodes provided on the outer surface of the resonator, a second pair of diametrically opposed driving electrodes provided on the outer surface of the resonator, a device for generating concurrently a first force and a second force at each of the first driving electrodes and each of the second driving electrodes, respectively, in such a manner that the first force reverses its direction along the radius of the resonator at a regular interval, the second force reverses its direction along the radius of the resonator at a regular interval, and the direction of the first force is opposite to the direction of the second force.Type: GrantFiled: February 14, 1994Date of Patent: December 5, 1995Assignee: Aisin Seiki Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Masayuki Sato, Toshihiro Kobayashi, Toru Watanabe, Katsuyoshi Mizumoto, Hiroshi Kajino, Hideya Kurachi

Patent number: 5214961Abstract: A pressure sensor having a ceramic support, a first ceramic layer attached to a peripheral portion of one side of the ceramic support, and a second ceramic layer which is attached to a peripheral portion of another side of the ceramic support such that the pressure sensor is shaped as an integral assembly. The ratio of the thickness of the first ceramic layer to that of the second ceramic layer is in the range of 1:10 to 1:1. The ratio of the thicknesses of the first and second ceramic layers to thickness of the ceramic support is no more than 1:2. The pressure sensor further includes a hollow space formed between the ceramic support and at least one of the first and second ceramic layers so that, after shaping as an integral assembly, the ceramic layer or layers will work as a diaphragm that is capable of deformation under pressure.Type: GrantFiled: August 13, 1991Date of Patent: June 1, 1993Assignee: NGK Spark Plug Co., Ltd.Inventors: Takao Kojima, Toshikatsu Yasuda, Katsuyoshi Mizumoto, Kanehisa Kitsukawa

Patent number: 5201228Abstract: A pressure sensor including at least two ceramic layers formed as elongated sheets and bonded together with a gap therebetween at one end so as to form a diaphragm of a portion of one of the ceramic layers that faces the gap and that receives on an outer surface thereof the pressure to be measured, a pressure-sensitive electrode portion from which an electric output corresponding with the pressure to be measured is generated on the basis of the amount of strain of the diaphragm that develops under the pressure to be measured, the pressure-sensitive electrode portion being provided on or around the diaphragm, and a plurality of conductor paths that are connected to the pressure-sensitive electrode portion and that extend along the length of the ceramic layers, the conductor paths having terminals at the other end of the bonded ceramic layers for connection to an external electric circuit.Type: GrantFiled: August 23, 1991Date of Patent: April 13, 1993Assignee: NGK Spark Plug Co., Ltd.Inventors: Takao Kojima, Kanehisa Kitsukawa, Toshikatsu Yasuda, Katsuyoshi Mizumoto

Patent number: 5189916Abstract: A pressure sensor having a ceramic substrate formed from a first unsintered ceramic material, and a diaphragm capable of deformation under pressure, and formed of a second unsintered ceramic material having a factor of shrinkage upon sintering smaller than that of the first material. The diaphragm is fixed to the periphery of a surface of the ceramic substrate to form an integral assembly having a hollow space formed therebetween upon sintering due to the difference in the factor of shrinkage of the first and second materials.Type: GrantFiled: August 12, 1991Date of Patent: March 2, 1993Assignee: NGK Spark Plug Co., Ltd.Inventors: Katsuyoshi Mizumoto, Kanehisa Kitsukawa, Toshikatsu Yasuda, Takao Kojima
