  • Patent number: 8938827
Abstract: A support mechanism in which one end of a knee bottom section (2) is supported on a bed frame (1) in such a manner that the knee bottom section can be pivotally raised and lowered. Also, one end of a leg bottom section (6) is pivotally rotatably connected with the other end of the knee bottom section, a support stay (7) is pivotally rotatably connected with the underside of the other end of the leg bottom section, and a support device (11) of a support portion (9) provided at the opposite tip of the support stay is provided on the bed frame. The support device includes a guide portion (12) and an engaging portion (13) for movably supporting the support portion of the support stay. The guide portion can support the support portion moved in relation with the pivotal rotation of the knee bottom section within the entire pivotal rotation range of the knee bottom section.

  • Publication number: 20120311790
Abstract: Provided is an air mattress with an internal pump wherein an air supply/release pump can be contained within the space occupied by a conventional air mattress. The ease of handling, ease of performing caretaking work, and ease of maintenance of the pump are improved without reducing comfort. The air mattress with an internal pump has a plurality of air cell groups lined up in the lengthwise direction of the air mattress. Each of air cell groups has a plurality of bladder-shaped cells lined up in the lengthwise direction of the air mattress. The air mattress has an air supply/release pump; and an air tube linking the air cell groups and the air supply/release pump in an independent system for each air cell group out of two or more air cell groups.

  • Patent number: 8015638
Abstract: An X-linked lift mechanism having first links (3) and second links (4) constituting an X-linked mechanism between a base frame (1) and a lift frame (2). A drive member (11) is pivotally rotatably installed between the other lateral side portions of the second links and is connected with boost arms (12) and a drive arm (13). Guide members (15) are provided for guiding the moving members (14) installed at the ends of the boost arms. The guide members are installed on the other lateral side portions of the first links in the length direction. Also, a linear actuator is provided so as to extend between the other lateral side of the first links and the drive arm.

  • Publication number: 20100257671
Abstract: In the conventional X-linked lift mechanism, in the state where the lift frame is lowered, lift drive components occupy a wide area. Therefore, it is difficult to additionally dispose other functional mechanism components. Further, in the configuration wherein the lift frame is raised when the linear actuator acts in the direction to shorten itself, if the linear actuator is broken, the lift frame may drop dangerously.

  • Publication number: 20100251483
Abstract: In the conventional support mechanism capable of supporting the distal end of the leg bottom section at either a high position or a low position in the state where the knee bottom section is pivotally raised, the distal end of the leg bottom section that is set at the high position can be shifted to the low position only in the state where the knee bottom section is kept pivotally raised. If the knee bottom section is pivotally lowered in the state where the distal end of the leg bottom section is set at the low position, the distal end of the leg bottom section is forcedly released from the mechanical engagement for the low position and shifted to the mechanical engagement for the high position.

  • Patent number: 5469591
Abstract: It is the object of the present invention to present a bottom structure which allows a bed bottom to be bent at desired curvatures. This is achieved using a bendable bottom component 6 located between the back and waist portions and/or waist and leg portions of a bed bottom 2 which is comprised of parallel rigid strips 7 and flexible strips 8 located between the respectively adjacent rigid strips 7. The flexible strips 8 are formed as bendable sheets 9 connecting the respectively adjacent rigid strips 7 on the side to form the inside curve of the bottom. Guard rails 10 are provided longitudinally to cover both the ends, in the width direction of the bed, of the bendable bottom component 6. End contacts 11 of the guard rails 10 are engaged with the rigid strips 7, and have end caps 12 attached. The end contacts 11 are adjustable and connected with each other by connecting rods 15. The end caps 12 are formed to be thinner at the overlapped portions than the other portions.
