  • Publication number: 20200032907
Abstract: A seal ring is provided in which a ring body configured to be mounted in a mounting groove provided in one of two members, for example, a rotary shaft and a housing, that are configured to be assembled together so as to be relatively displaceable with respect to each other, is provided with a contact portion that comes in contact with the other of the two members, and a cut portion separating the ring body at one position on the circumference of the ring body. In order to eliminate undercorrection of shape that occurs at a portion in the vicinity of the cut portion, thereby reducing the size of a gap that is formed between the seal ring and the mating component when the seal ring is mounted, a thinned structure is provided only at a portion in the vicinity of the cut portion in an outer surface of the ring body other than the contact portion.

  • Publication number: 20180355980
Abstract: A shaft and a sealing structure that can reduce the sliding resistance of a seal ring regardless of whether the side surface of the seal ring wears out over time. A shaft 200 rotates relative to a housing 300 and includes an annular groove 210 on an outer periphery side thereof, to which a resinous seal ring 400 that seals an annular gap between the shaft 200 and the housing 300 to maintain pressure of sealed fluid, is attached. In the shaft 200, a side wall surface 213 of the annular groove 210 on which the seal ring 400 slides is made of metal, and dynamic pressure generation grooves 220 that generate dynamic pressure by the sealed fluid guided during the relative rotation are formed on the side wall surface 213.

  • Patent number: 9856984
Abstract: A sealing device seals an annular gap between a shaft and a housing, and includes a first annular member 200 provided with a first cylindrical part 201 that is secured to an outer circumferential surface of the shaft 20, and a first flange 202 extending radially outward from the first cylindrical part 201; a second annular member 300 provided with a second cylindrical part 301 that is secured to an outer circumferential surface of the first cylindrical part 201, and a second flange 302 extending radially outward from the second cylindrical part 301; and an endless resin sealing ring 400 disposed between the first flange 202 and the second flange 302, the sealing ring providing a seal between itself and a shaft hole in the housing 30, and between itself and one of the first flange 202 and the second flange 302 on a low pressure side.

  • Publication number: 20120032405
Abstract: A sealing structure for a continuously variable transmission, which seals a clearance between a movable sheave and a cylinder. The continuously variable transmission may change a groove width of each pulley of the cylinder by moving a corresponding movable sheave though supply and discharge of a hydraulic pressure to and from the cylinder. The sealing structure includes an outer peripheral side seal member that is ring-shaped and disposed in a ring-shaped groove formed in one of the movable sheave and the cylinder; and an inner peripheral side seal member that is more elastic than the outer peripheral side seal member, ring-shaped, and disposed in a layered manner in the ring-shaped groove on an inner peripheral side with respect to the outer peripheral side seal member. A side of the outer peripheral side seal member where it contacts the inner peripheral side seal member is chamfered.
