  • Patent number: 5377572
Abstract: A cutting device includes a moving blade unit rotatable around a rotating shaft and inclined at a predetermined angle against a sheet feeding surface, a receiving blade unit which is movable in a direction towards the moving blade, and an elastic member for biasing a cutting edge of the receiving blade towards a cutting edge of the moving blade. Both cutting edges of the moving blade and the receiving blade are formed with a plastically deformed portion formed by press cutting. By ensuring that each second shear droop region formed in the plastically deformed portion of each cutting edge contacts the other second shear droop region of the other cutting edge, a roll-type paper inserted between the cutting edges can be easily cut.

  • Patent number: 5138365
Abstract: An image recording apparatus records an image on an elongated continuous form photosensitive recording medium capable of receiving a latent image of an output image to be formed, and a cut sheet type of a developer recording medium provides an output image upon reaction with the latent image on the photosensitive recording medium. The recording apparatus includes an exposure portion for exposing the elongated continuous form photosensitive recording medium fed along the recording medium feeding path to a light image to form the latent image thereon. The exposure portion includes an exposure position whereat a leading edge of an unexposed portion of the photosensitive recording medium is located prior to imaging. A developing portion is disposed downstream of the exposing portion with respect to the recording medium feeding path and develops the exposed photosensitive recording medium superposed with the developer recording medium.

  • Patent number: 5055872
Abstract: An image recording apparatus having a lens unit and a mirror unit. The lens unit and the mirror unit are movably supported by a frame of the apparatus. A cam plate is provided at the lens unit, and a lever is in abutment with the cam plate. When the lens unit is moved in a direction, the cam plate is also moved, so that the lever is pivotally moved. The lever is abutted on the mirror unit. The pivotal motion of the lever, the mirror unit is also moved in another direction. The cam plate has a plurality of cam surfaces each defining respective copying magnifications.

  • Patent number: 5049926
Abstract: An image recording apparatus for recording an image corresponding to an original on a photosensitive recording medium by irradiating light onto the original and converging light from the original onto the photosensitive recording medium. The apparatus includes a lens unit vertically movably supported by the frame, a plurality of position setting holes arrayed in a vertical direction of the frame, position setting means provided on the lens unit and capable of being inserted into one of the position setting holes for fixing the lens unit to the frame, urging means provided on the lens unit for urging the position setting means toward the frame to project the position setting means, actuating means provided on the lens unit for actuating the position setting means so that the position setting means retracts and moves away from the frame against urging force of the urging means when electric current is supplied to the actuating means.

  • Patent number: 5049921
Abstract: An image recording apparatus having a sheet cartridge in which a rolled photosensitive recording medium is accommodated. The sheet cartridge has a sheet retaining device for preventing the recording medium from being retracted into a cartridge casing. The retaining device also provides a light shielding member. The image recording apparatus also includes structure for preventing the cartridge from being removed in a case where a residual recording medium is still rolled in the cartridge casing. The image recording apparatus is provided with a wiper member for removing dusts deposited on a surface of a feed roller. Further, a sensor element is provided for detecting non-rotation of a takeup shaft or a slack of the recording medium.

  • Patent number: 5026039
Abstract: A sheet storage case for storing therein a stack of sheets. The sheet storage case is assembled into a sheet feeding device which feeds out an uppermost sheet of the stack of sheets. The sheet storage case includes a bottom plate, a first positioning member fixedly secured to the bottom plate and a slidably movable second positioning member provided in the bottom plate. The second positioning member has a sheet receiving portion for receiving the stack of sheets. The second positioning member is movable toward and away from the first positioning member. To mount a stack of sheet on the sheet storage case, the second positioning member is moved away from the first positioning member, the sheets are placed on the sheet receiving portion, and then the second positioning member is moved toward the first positioning member. The side edges of the sheets are aligned, because the sheets are fittedly interposed between the two positioning members.

  • Patent number: 5016041
Abstract: An image recording apparatus having reversal feed means for feeding an elongated photosensitive sheet in a reverse direction. The photosensitive sheet undergoes exposure operation and a pressure developing operation. Since unexposed zone is positioned subsequent to the exposure zone, the unexposed zone is also positioned at downstream side of the exposure portion by the pressure developing operation to the preceeding exposure zone. The reversal feed means is adapted for moving an unexposed zone of the photosensitive sheet positioned at downstream side of the exposure portion to an upstream side thereof. A sheet nip releasing mechanism is provided in the apparatus for releasing sheet nipping force given by feed rollers during the reversal sheet feeding. Further, a shutter mechanism is provided for avoiding light irradiation to the unexposed zone during the reverse travel.
