  • Patent number: 8334794
Abstract: An input device includes a plurality of manipulation portions; an input function portion manipulated by the manipulation portions to perform an input function; a light guiding sheet facing the rear side of the plurality of manipulation portions; and a light source applying light into the light guiding sheet, wherein a rear surface opposite to a front surface of the light guiding sheet facing the manipulation portions is provided with a plurality of concave portions which is depressed to the inside of the light guiding sheet, wherein each concave portion has a circular opening and an inner surface which is a smooth concave curve surface, and wherein light propagated through the inside of the light guiding sheet is reflected by the inner surface toward the inside of the light guiding sheet, and the light is applied from the front surface of the light guiding sheet to the manipulation portions.

  • Publication number: 20080175022
Abstract: Disclosed is an illuminating unit capable of effectively introducing light emitted from a light source into a light guide sheet to improve the brightness of light and emitting uniform color light. Light emitted from a light emitting diode of a light source unit is incident on a side surface of a light guide sheet. A spacer aligns the emission center of the light emitting diode with the center of the light guide sheet in the thickness direction thereof. The incident light travels in the light guide sheet and is then diffused in light emitting regions provided on the main surface of the light guide sheet. Then, the diffused light is emitted to the outside. In addition, light components emitted from a gap between the light emitting diode and the side surface of the light guide sheet or light components emitted from the upper surface of the light source unit to the outside are reflected to the light guide sheet by a cover member.

  • Patent number: 6087604
Abstract: A keyboard is constructed so that a ratio of a dimension between a first latching portion of a first lever and a pivotally supporting portion thereof to a dimension between this pivotally supporting portion thereof and a second latching portion thereof is equal to a ratio of a dimension between a first latching portion of a second lever and another pivotally supporting portion thereof to a dimension between this pivotally supporting portion thereof and a second latching portion thereof. Thus, when the key top descends, the second latching portions of the first and second levers are placed outside the first latching portions of the first and second levers. Consequently, reduction in thickness of a keyboard is achieved.
