  • Patent number: 7507011
Abstract: A surface light source equipment includes a light source and a light conductive plate having a light outgoing surface from which a light introduced from the light source outgoes. The light conductive plate is configured so tat the outgoing light is spread across substantially the entire surface of the light outgoing surface, and a plurality of patterns for reflection of a light conducted in the light conductive plate is formed on an opposite surface to the light outgoing surface of the light conductive plate. The respective patterns are structurcd such that, as viewed from a direction perpendicular to the light outgoing surface, a light is incident from a substantially fixed direction determined for every pattern. Each of the patterns has an inclined surface on a light incident side. The inclined surface substantially wholly shields both side surfaces of the pattern, as viewed from a direction of light incidence.

  • Publication number: 20080002432
Abstract: Even when molded sagging is generated on a side of a pattern for diffusion, a light is made hard to be scattered in an irregular direction. In a state viewed from a direction perpendicular to a light conductive plate, a light is incident from a substantially fixed direction upon respective diffusion patterns 36 provided on a lower surface of the light conductive plate. A reflection surface 46a being an inclined surface of each of the diffusion patterns 36, which faces a light emission part, is formed to be trapezoidal in shape, and side surfaces 46b of the diffusion pattern 36, on which molded sagging is liable to be generated, hide behind the reflection surface 46a as viewed from a light source part, so that a light is hard to be made incident upon the side surfaces 46b.

  • Patent number: 6894746
Abstract: Unit reflection areas (13) each consisting of one or plural recesses and projections (17) are formed on the surface of a reflection plate (11). Light incident into the reflection plate (11) and reflected by respective unit reflection areas (13) is emitted to the entire specified plane area (emission area (14)) established on a specified plane, which is like a band: ring. The emission area (14) is established so that overlap thereof with a shining area of light regularly reflected by a liquid crystal panel (18) is made slight. With such a construction, in a reflection plate that is used for a reflection type or semi-transmission type display device, light that is reflected in useless directions, is reduced, and light utilization efficiency of incident light-can be increased.
