  • Patent number: 6913395
Abstract: An assembly comprising a plastic optical fiber socket attachable to three modules in accordance with JIS standards and a plug; the plastic optical fiber socket including a body having a plug inlet port, a port cover mounted to the body so as to be automatically openable, a receptacle mounted to the body for connection with a plastic optical fiber cable, and a tensile retainer engaged with the body for retaining the plastic optical fiber cable; and the plug including a housing, an engagement portion fixed to the housing for engagement with the receptacle, and a beam formed on the housing, the beam made of elastic material or having an elastic structure.

  • Publication number: 20050123471
Abstract: Titania is dissolved in a hydrogen peroxide solution to produce an amorphous titania gel, then the amorphous titania gel and a hydrogen peroxide solution are mixed together to produce an amorphous titania sol, and then an alkali solution is supplied to the solution containing the amorphous titania sol to thereby adjust a pH of the solution to 2 to 10. Even if the obtained solution containing amorphous titania is, for example, left to stand at normal temperature for a long time, gelling or aggregation of titania can be suppressed. That is, it is possible to obtain a titania solution that can maintain the state where fine particles of titania are highly dispersed in the solution, over a long term.

  • Publication number: 20040213900
Abstract: A carrier supporting titania thereon is further caused to carry a metal compound thereon. This metal compound is hydrogen reduced in a heating atmosphere at a first treatment temperature, then oxidized in a heating atmosphere at a second treatment temperature not higher than the first treatment temperature to thereby obtain a photocatalyst. In this event, metal is released from an extremely strong reduction state and thus highly dispersed on the catalyst in the form of fine particles so that high activity of the catalyst can be obtained. Then, by purifying gas while feeding light and heat to the photocatalyst by, for example, blacklights, a volatile organic compound such as acetaldehyde can be decomposed at a high decomposition rate through cooperation between photocatalytic activity and thermal catalytic activity of the photocatalyst.

  • Patent number: 5553496
Abstract: For reducing the equipment cost for monitoring dust particles and improving the operation efficiency in a clean room, a plurality of sampling tubes each having a plurality of perforations formed in the side thereof and along the extension thereof are disposed under the floor board of the clean room so as to extend in X and Y directions. The perforations are for sucking the air together with dust particles discharged from the clean room through openings formed in the regions defined in rows and columns on the floor board. The perforations are formed corresponding to each of the region. The sampling tubes are sequentially selected to be connected to laser particle counters dedicated for the X direction and Y direction, respectively, and the dust particles sent via each of the sampling tubes are counted.
