  • Patent number: 6791771
Abstract: A composite optical component and its manufacturing method are disclosed. A holding member or an optical functional device is subjected to elastic deformation, with both of them fixed together, and the optical functional device is subjected to plastic deformation by heating to reduce stress between two components in such a way that the holding member and optical functional device will be slide-fitted with each other; sliding resistance between the optical functional device and enclosure per “b” in longitudinal direction of the optical component will be F≦a/b×S×E; or the optical functional device and holding member will be slide-fit by formation of one integral body in the mold, thereby preventing thermal distortion and distortion of the optical functional device due to recovery of elastic deformation of a reinforcing member, with the result that manufacturing costs can be reduced while a high degree of straightness and high surface precision are maintained.

  • Patent number: 6170988
Abstract: A self-acting air bearing wherein an abrasion-generated substance is generated by rotation of a shaft and a bearing and is used as a lubricant. As a result, a motor of low cost and stable rotation in which it is not necessary to insert special lubricant into the shaft or the bearing previously can be achieved. Moreover, in a polygon motor having such a lubrication structure, since polluting of a writing system is not feared, reliability for a long time period can be obtained.

  • Patent number: 5897052
Abstract: The provision of an easily laterally opened type paper container includes: a paper base material which is made of material having thermoplastic resin layers on both sides thereof; an opening piece which is formed of a resin film, and sandwiched and bonded between an upper piece and a lower piece of an overlap width portion of the paper base material which is overlapped and laminated on each other with a picking length; a notch portion defined in the upper piece of said overlap width portion in correspondence with both ends of said opening piece laterally; and an oriented polyolefine film having such a characteristic that an orientation magnification of the film in one direction is larger than that in a direction orthogonal to the one direction, which is stacked on an inner surface of the paper container material in such a manner that the one direction having the larger orientation magnification coincides with an opening direction of the paper container.

  • Patent number: 5622904
Abstract: A glass material for molding an optical element and including lead and a lead compound is processed chemically and physically and includes a modificative ion component set such that an atomic concentration of the modificative ion component in a range of 600 angstroms from a glass surface layer has a concentration gradient approximated by a curve represented by the following formula (1). ##EQU1## wherein, reference numeral Y designates an atomic concentration of a modificative ion shown by atomic percent. Reference numeral X designates a depth from an uppermost glass surface layer. Each of coefficients A0 to A10 is set to a constant. Symbol 0 designates a power. Reference numeral e(x) designates an error component.
