  • Patent number: 4343426
Abstract: An annular tank for storing nuclear reaction material in an annular space formed among seamless upper and lower annular dies disposed elevationally in a predetermined space and inner and outer sheaths extended on the inner and outer peripheral surfaces of the upper and lower dies. The tank avoids thermal strain and deformation by forming the upper and lower dies in a seamless manner to thus enhance the heat dissipating effect together with high working accuracy and strength. The method of fabricating the annular tank is simple by omitting the use of jigs for welding the segments with less loss and high production yield.

  • Patent number: 4338102
Abstract: An improved device for effectively removing radioactive particles in moist gas has a pipe for feeding therethrough a moist gas containing radioactive solid particles, a solid-gas separation filter disposed in the pipe, a microwave generator and a wave guide connected between the pipe and the generator. Within the wave guide there is disposed a shielding plate capable of passing the microwave therethrough and preventing the spreading of contamination. Microwave from the generator is applied to the filter by means of the wave guide, and moisture condensate and the like on the filter is heated and evaporated by the microwave to minimize clogging of the filter.

  • Patent number: 4302848
Abstract: A method for wearing and taking off a protective suit which is used when entering the inside of a working zone segregated from the outside thereof. The protective suit has a cylindrical portion made of a film-like fusible material and is designed so that one can get into or out of the suit by passing through the cylindrical portion. When wearing the protective suit, one gets into the suit by passing through the cylindrical portion, with the protective suit being kept joined to an entrance/exit section of the working zone, and then part of the cylindrical portion is fused and closed to segregate the inside of the suit from the outside thereof while sealing the entrance/exit section with a pouch-like member.
