  • Patent number: 7583402
Abstract: This image forming device 1 comprises an image processing unit 9, an HDD 23 and an image forming unit. The image processing unit 9 is capable of instructing the output of the image data sent from the PC 43. The HDD 23 is connected to the image processing unit 9 and is capable of storing the image data to be delivered. The image forming unit is capable of receiving the instruction from the image processing unit 9 and delivering onto paper or the like the image data stored in the HDD 23. Then, when the ID information contained in the image data is detected by the image processing unit 9, writing of image data to the HDD 23 is prohibited.

  • Patent number: 6304734
Abstract: The present invention relates to an image forming apparatus capable of reading out an image from stored data, after an image forming job has been executed, and copying the image data onto a copy paper. The apparatus reads image data on a document, stores the image data in a memory, and thereafter copies the image data stored in the memory on copy paper. The apparatus employs an operation mode switching key for switching between a normal mode and a re-output mode. Image data corresponding to a job which has been stored most recently in the memory is read out to copy the image data read out on a copy paper. This occurs when a start key is operated while the apparatus is in the re-output mode, as selected by an operation mode switching key.

  • Patent number: 5867466
Abstract: In the case of recording computer data, e.g., into clusters 16 to 27 of the data recording area, the range of clusters 16 to 27 is ensured as an available range in a management table (parts table) of U-TOC. For example, onto parts table of No. 02h, such computer data is recorded as a segment in which cluster 16 is caused to be start address and cluster 27 is caused to be end address. For the purpose of carrying out management of recording state of computer data, FAT (File Allocation Table) is separately provided. At this table, management of recording states of clusters 16 to 27 is carried out. Thus, computer data can be recorded onto mini-disc for recording audio data.

  • Patent number: 5852756
Abstract: In a method of adjusting image forming conditions according to the present invention, it is judged whether or not a humidity detected by a humidity sensor is not less than a predetermined first humidity H.sub.1 (step W6). As a result, when it is judged that the humidity is not less than the first humidity H.sub.1, a main charger table is accessed using the detected absolute humidity as an address, and corresponding additional data G is read out (step W7). The additional data G read out, together with additional data E and main charger driving time adjustment data F, is added to main charger reference data K.sub.2, so that main charger voltage data C.sub.2 is produced (step W8). On the other hand, when the detected humidity is less than the first humidity H.sub.1, a voltage to be applied to a main charger is not adjusted depending on the humidity.

  • Patent number: 5430780
Abstract: A reset mechanism of a counter for counting the number of times of image formation is mounted on an image forming apparatus. The image forming apparatus includes a unit constituting at least a part of an image forming section which is detachably mounted on a predetermined portion of the main body of the image forming apparatus, a driving mechanism for driving the unit, and a counter for counting the number of times of image formation for reporting the time for replacement of the unit. The reset mechanism has a reset switch provided for on the main body for resetting the counter, and an operating member which is provided for on the unit for operating the reset switch. If a unit which has not been used is mounted on the main body, the operating member which is previously set in the operating position resets the reset switch.

  • Patent number: 5423528
Abstract: A paper feeding device for taking out paper sheets contained in a paper containing section one at a time by a paper feeding roller to feed the paper sheets. When a paper jam occurs in the position of the paper feeding roller, the rotation in one direction of the paper feeding roller is continued, so that the paper feeding roller is returned to its home position. At the time when the paper feeding roller is returned to its home position, the rotation of the paper feeding roller is stopped, to prepare for paper jam processing. A nip portion which nips the paper sheet and a non-nip portion spaced apart from the paper sheet are located on an outer peripheral surface of the paper feeding roller. In the home position, the nip portion is not opposed to the paper sheet and the non-nip portion is opposed to the paper sheet. That is, when a paper jam occurs, the paper feeding roller is stopped in a state where it is not pressed against the paper sheet in the paper containing section.
