  • Patent number: 5520526
Abstract: The pressure of a discharged refrigerant gas introduced into a rotary scroll (18) in the portion opposing a compression chamber is utilized to urge the rotary scroll (18) toward the compression chamber so as to maintain the axial directional gap of the compression chamber at a small value. A tip seal (98) is disposed while allowing a small gap for a spiral tip seal groove (98) formed at only the front portion of a rotary scroll wrap (18a) so that the rotary scroll (18) is pushed toward a fixed scroll (15) by the urged pressure of the discharged refrigerant gas introduced into a back pressure chamber (39) of the rotary scroll (18). As a result, enlargement of the axial directional gap of the compression chamber is prevented.

  • Patent number: 5263822
Abstract: A scroll compressor includes a discharge oil reservoir chamber that is subjected to a discharge pressure, a bearing oil supply passage for supplying and returning the lubricating oil to the main bearing and a revolving bearing by a viscosity pump; and an oil injection passage having a throttle passage which supplies part of the lubricating oil supplied to at least one of the bearings to compression chambers, thereby lubricating the bearing sliding surfaces supporting most of the compression load so as to reduce wear and frictional resistance.

  • Patent number: 5242280
Abstract: A multi-stage rotary type compressor is constituted in such a manner that an electric motor and a plurality of compression elements to be driven by the electric motor are disposed in a closed container and the compression elements thus-disposed are sequentially connected in series. The compressor thus-constituted is arranged in such a manner that the space in the closed container is filled with the pressure discharged from the final stage. Furthermore, lubricating oil, the pressure of which is equivalent to the level of the pressure discharged from each compression element, is introduced into a back side chamber of a vane of each compression element to urge the back side of each vane with the pressure of lubricating oil. As a result, the wear of the tip end of the vane and the input loss are prevented. Therefore, satisfactory durability and compression efficiency can be obtained.

  • Patent number: 5037278
Abstract: The scroll gas compressor of the invention is so constructed that an enclosed container is partitioned by a fixed scroll member into a high pressure chamber and a low pressure chamber for gas-liquid separating intake refrigerant and storing it, the low pressure chamber being disposed at the lower portion and the high pressure chamber at the upper portion of enclosed container, the high pressure chamber disposing therein a drive unit related to a scroll compression mechanism and a lubricating oil sump, and the fixed scroll member serving also as part of the bottom of the lubricating oil sump, thereby providing that is small-sized, wide in an operational speed range, and superior in durability, and that prevents absorption of heat and noise propagation from the low pressure chamber serving as both the gas-liquid separation chamber and the reservoir of fluid, thereby improving the compression efficiency and lowering noise.

  • Patent number: 4995789
Abstract: An enclosed type electric compressor comprising an electric motor, a compressor and an enclosing vessel that contains said electric motor and said compressor therein, wherein a drive spindle of said compressor is linked with a rotor of said electric motor, said drive spindle is supported and a fixing member that is an element of said compressor is pressed into and fixed at the outer periphery of one end of a stator of said electric motor, a bearing frame by which the other end of said drive spindle is supported is pressed into and fixed at the outer periphery of the other end of said stator, and said fixing member and the outer peripheral portion of said pressing and fixing part of said stator on said bearing frame are pressed into and fixed on the inner wall of said enclosing vessel, said respective component parts being concentric so that the axial centers thereof are aligned with each other, so that scattering of the clearance between the stator and the rotor can be decreased, thereby causing balance of el

  • Patent number: 4958993
Abstract: In a scroll compressor, a thrust bearing is movably held and urged to support thrust force of an orbiting scroll member against a fixed scroll member within a predetermined stroke in the axial direction of the scroll members, thereby to always allow desirable minute gap and also allow to move back against the urging force to reduce abnormal pressure in a compression chamber.
