Abstract: An instrument panel is provided with an upper panel of a synthetic resin disposed on the front side, and a core panel of a synthetic resin retentive of shape and connected to the rear side of the upper panel. The core panel has a casing portion which has an opening portion opened in an air bag-protruding direction and which receives a folded air bag of a passenger seat air bag unit and an inflator for supplying an inflating gas to the air bag. The upper panel has door portions which cover the casing portion and which are pressed and opened by the air bag when the air bag is inflated.

Abstract: An illuminating plate for a car has a light guide plate; a cover provided with at least one light transmitting window, and disposed on the light guide plate; and light reflecting layer formed on the rear surface of the light guide plate. The light reflecting layer is formed to cover an area where the light is projected onto the rear surface of the light guide plate through the corresponding light transmitting window, and the light reflecting layer being slightly larger than the area.

Abstract: There is provided a multi-layer molding method by which a molding product of multi-layers, in which a second layer is locally formed on a base layer, is produced, and the multi-layer molding method comprises the steps of: forming locally a cavity for forming the second layer between the first mold and the second mold; injecting a second resin into the cavity for forming the second layer so as to mold the second layer; separating relatively the first mold and the second mold from each other so as to form a cavity for molding a base layer continuously between the first and the second molds and also between the second layer and a mold surface opposing to the second layer; and injecting resin for the base layer into the cavity for molding the base layer.
