Abstract: A method for accessing a computing device may include receiving a request for access to an object by a user and checking an access control list for permission by the user to access the object, the access control list having an access control entry comprising a time specifier. The method may also include determining a time of the request when the access control entry for the object has the time specifier comparing the time of the request to the time specifier in the access control entry, and allowing the user access to the object when the time request meets a requirement of the time specifier in the access control entry for the object.
