  • Publication number: 20240287209
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for preparing polysaccharide sulfates. In the process, a mixture comprising at least one polysaccharide and at least one polar aprotic solvent is provided. The at least one polysaccharide is reacted to form at least one polysaccharide acetate sulfate, wherein at least one sulphating agent, at least one acetylation agent and at least one peroxodisulfate are added to the mixture, the mixture being subsequently subjected to a temperature treatment. The at least one polysaccharide acetate sulfate is separated from the mixture and is reacted to form at least one polysaccharide sulfate. The present invention also relates to a polysaccharide sulfate that can be prepared with the process according to the invention. The present invention further relates to a microcapsule and to a process for preparing a microcapsule.

  • Publication number: 20220081538
Abstract: A process for producing a cellulose layer for the detection of at least one analyte includes producing a cellulose layer by applying a stable dispersion of cellulose and/or a cellulose derivative to a suitable support, and immobilizing at least one ligand on the cellulose layer. A cellulose layer produced by the process can be employed in detection methods, devices, kits, and uses.

  • Patent number: 8722092
Abstract: The present invention provides novel nanoscale cellulose particles and also a process for their production. The cellulose-based particles obtained have volume-averaged particle sizes of less than 300 nm. These nanoparticles are produced from amorphous cellulose or by amorphization of cellulose, optional subsequent hydrolysis and by input of energy into a water-containing medium after or during dispersion.

  • Patent number: 8338494
Abstract: The present invention provides novel nanoscale cellulose particles and also a process for their production. The cellulose-based particles obtained have volume-averaged particle sizes of less than 300 run. These nanoparticles are produced from slightly oxidized cellulose and by input of energy into a water-containing medium after or during dispersion.

  • Patent number: 8337901
Abstract: The invention refers to a method for the production of cellulose sulfate which is completely water-soluble and has an adjustable solution viscosity in aqueous solution, which qualifies the produced sodium cellulose sulfate (SCS) as auxiliary material with ideal biological compatibility for biological and medical applications, in particular it is suitable for the encapsulation and immobilization of biological objects, e.g. tissue, cells, microorganisms, enzymes or viruses in microcapsule.

  • Publication number: 20080199573
Abstract: The invention relates to a stable uncrosslinked hemicellulose paste and also to a method for production thereof. The hemicellulose obtained by alkaline extraction from a hemicellulose-containing material is thereby treated in the alkaline medium with an oxidant, subsequently the pH value is reduced. Subsequent thereto, precipitation and separation of excess liquid is effected with formation of a homogeneous and stable paste. The pastes according to the invention are used in the field of foodstuffs and food additives.
