  • Patent number: 9656681
Abstract: A circuit arrangement for revealing light signal errors, in particular for railway safety systems, includes an electronic signal generator, which can be disconnected in a reversible manner in the event of an error, and a control part, configured for incandescent lamps, for controlling and monitoring the signal generator. The device for revealing errors includes an error differentiator between the line-related interference voltage and error of the signal generator. The reliability of the error differentiation is improved and rendered independent of capacitive intermediate energy storage devices, in that the signal generator is connected to a resistance arrangement such that the signal generator voltage is greater, in high-resistance signal generators, than an interference voltage.

  • Patent number: 9562952
Abstract: A method for revealing a light signal error, in particular for railway safety systems, and a device for carrying out the method includes an electronic signal generator, which can be disconnected in a reversible manner in the event of an error, and a control part which is designed for incandescent lamps for controlling and monitoring the signal generator. In order to be able to evaluate the operation of said type of control part with an incandescent lamp interface also when the signal is flashing, it is provided that when the signal generator is activated in the flashing mode, in which no signal voltage is supplied during the flashing intervals, a timer which is connected to a voltage source measures the duration of the pauses between the flashes, and in the event of an error, maintains the disconnection for at least one flashing cycle and signals to the control part.

  • Patent number: 8702282
Abstract: A light signal contains a semiconductor light source and a convex lens system for representing signal aspects, especially on rail-bound traffic routes. In order to eliminate the need for monochrome semiconductor light sources, the semiconductor light source is a white point light source. A signal aspect-specific color filter is provided in the aperture region of the point light source.

  • Publication number: 20120162997
Abstract: A light signal contains a semiconductor light source and an optical system for representing signal aspects (properties), especially on rail-bound traffic routes. In order to obtain the advantageous properties of filament light signals, especially with respect to the beam spread in horizontal direction, the semiconductor light source is configured as a point light source, especially as an individual LED—light-emitting diode—or as an individual HLED—high current LED—and the optical system has an axially symmetric cylindrical lens and a rotationally symmetric convex lens, especially a Fresnel lens.

  • Patent number: 7400149
Abstract: After disconnection from the power supply system, a discharge characteristic of the no-load voltage is recorded automatically by means of a control unit across a discharge resistance during a stage-by-stage discharge cycle from a charged battery which is being operated for the first time on the power supply system. This stage-by-stage discharge cycle is repeated at times which can be defined, in order to record an instantaneous discharge characteristic of the no-load voltage, and an alarm no-load voltage is determined from the instantaneous discharge characteristic of the no-load voltage from a previously defined reserve time and from the final discharge voltage as determined in the first measurement, which alarm no-load voltage represents a measure of the energy which in each case still remains in the battery, and on reaching which during operation on the load, an alarm is produced for the operator of the power supply system.
