  • Publication number: 20030017437
Abstract: A mathematical instructional aid device for teaching fractions or multiplication, in one embodiment, consists of a circularly shaped base having 12 sections. Each section represents a number from 1 to 12. Each section has within it a number of steps with all the steps of the 12 sections converging to a top most plane. Within each section, each step is spaced from an adjacent step by a number representing a multiple of the base value in the base of each section. Values in steps of different sections are co-planar to assist in understanding the concept of multiplication and fractions.
