  • Patent number: 7137918
Abstract: The invention relates to a ribbed V-belt having an elastomeric cover layer (1), a tension-support layer (3) and an elastomeric base body (2). The base body (2) has ribs which have an outer coating containing polymers and fibers and is fixedly joined to the base body. The outer coating is an elastomeric layer having a layer thickness of 0.15 to 0.25 mm. The elastomeric layer is based on an interlaced rubber and contains at least fibers (5) in combination with a fluoropolymer powder (6) and/or a powder of non-ferrous metal. The invention also relates to a method of making the ribbed V-belt.

  • Publication number: 20040190577
Abstract: Fast wavelength stabilization can be obtained for a gas discharge laser, such as an excimer or molecular fluorine laser, using a fast wavelength correction unit. A fast wavelength correction unit can include a fast, precise motor driver unit, such as a linear or rotary voice coil motor, a piezo-ceramic motor, or a piezo motor driver unit. These motors can be used to rotate a tuning element, for example, in order to provide for precise and fast wavelength stabilization. The wavelength correction unit can be fully contained within an optical module, without the need for seals, bellows, or feedthroughs as in existing drive systems. Various arrangements and embodiments are described which can be appropriate for differing applications and/or systems.

  • Patent number: 6760358
Abstract: An apparatus for adjusting an orientation of an optical component mounted within a laser resonator with suppressed hysteresis includes an electromechanical device, a drive element, and a mechano-optical device coupled to the mounted optical component. The drive element is configured to contact and apply a force to the mechano-optical device in such a way as to adjust the orientation of the mechano-optical device, and thereby that of the optical component, to a known orientation within the laser resonator. The optical component is mounted such that stresses applied by the mount to the optical component are homogeneous and substantially thermally-independent.
