Abstract: A vehicle including: a chassis defining a passenger seating area and a cargo area; a trim panel separating the passenger seating area from the cargo area; first, second, and third mounting brackets; and a battery assembly supported by the cross-member and including a battery and a battery case receiving the battery. The chassis includes a floor panel and a cross-member extending upwardly therefrom. The first and third mounting brackets are connected to the floor panel forwardly of the cross-member, and the second mounting bracket is connected to the floor panel rearwardly of the cross-member, wherein the first and second mounting brackets are connected to the battery case to thereby secure the battery assembly within the cargo area, and the first and third mounting brackets are connected to the trim panel to increase the stability thereof.

Abstract: A vehicle including: a chassis; an electronics module that is connected to the chassis; a jack mount that is connected to the chassis and which is configured to support a jack; and a dual-function jack bracket that is connected to the jack mount and the chassis such that the jack is exclusively supported by the chassis, the jack mount, and the jack bracket. The jack bracket is positioned between the electronics module and the jack mount in order to inhibit contact with the electronics module during retrieval and placement of the jack.

Abstract: A battery case assembly includes a first member and a second member. The first member has a bottom portion, an upright portion and a top portion. The bottom portion is rigidly and fixedly attached to a vehicle floor structure. The second member is attached to the first member thereby defining a hollow rectangular structure with an open forward end and an open rearward end. A battery fitted within the hollow rectangular structure such that forward end of the battery is exposed via the open forward end of the hollow rectangular structure and a rearward end of the battery is exposed via the open rearward end of the hollow rectangular structure.
