Patent number: 7980544Abstract: A sheet hold flap 18 is arranged on an upper side of a vicinity of a rear end portion of a sheet table 7 to which a sheet is continuously supplied from a copier or the like. The sheet hold flap is switched to an upper initial position and a sheet holding position by a solenoid 17. There is carried out a control of holding a rear end portion of a sheet P by driving the sheet hold flap to the sheet holding position after taking in a sheet to the sheet table and returning the sheet hold flap to the initial position to escape from a sheet path in taking in a successive sheet. Sheet jamming by floating up the sheet is prevented by holding a sheet on the sheet table until immediately before taking in the successive sheet.Type: GrantFiled: August 12, 2005Date of Patent: July 19, 2011Assignee: Max Co., Ltd.Inventors: Kazuaki Baba, Atsushi Kurabayashi, Toru Yoshie

Patent number: 7753354Abstract: There is provided a sensor 48 for detecting penetration of a sheet by a punch hole aligning pin 42, and there is provided controlling means for retrying a penetrating operation by returning the punch hole aligning pin to an initial position when a time period from starting to move the pin to penetrating the sheet exceeds a reference time period. Even when a degree of unalignment of the punch hole of the sheet P is considerable and the punch hole aligning pin cannot penetrate through the sheet by once, the punch hole aligning pin is penetrated therethrough frequently by repeating the penetrating operation and therefore, an error in aligning the sheet can be reduced. In a case in which the pin is not penetrated through the sheet even when the penetrating operation is carried out by a predetermined number of times, the pin is returned to the initial position and an error is displayed.Type: GrantFiled: August 12, 2005Date of Patent: July 13, 2010Assignee: Max Co., Ltd.Inventors: Kazuaki Baba, Atsushi Kurabayashi, Toru Yoshie

Patent number: 6871125Abstract: An electric vehicle steering/drive control method and apparatus having predetermined steering modes defining composite patterns of individual wheel travel paths, whereby the vehicle wheels are controlled independently. The steering modes are determined by different condition equations related to each composite pattern. A steering mode select signal is generated based on a mode selection by a vehicle driver. The steering mode select signal is received by a wheel steering angle computer and a wheel rotation speed computer. Based in part on the steering mode select signal, the wheel steering angle computer generates a signal that is received by a steering motor controller, which in turn controls motors that change the steering angle of the wheels. An actual angle sensor generates a signal based on the actual angle of the wheels and a steering angle comparator receives the actual angle sensor signal.Type: GrantFiled: November 14, 2002Date of Patent: March 22, 2005Assignee: Kanazawa Institute of TechnologyInventors: Hiroyasu Oshima, Kazuaki Baba, Katsuya Imai, Akihiro Yamada

Patent number: 5218492Abstract: A low-profile magnetic recording and/or reproducing apparatus is disclosed in which a drum is disposed substantially in front of a supply reel disc, a capstan and a pinch roller are disposed substantially in front of a take-up reel disc, a reel clutch mechanism extends from the capstan to a position located between the supply reel disc and the take-up reed disc, and a drive mechanism for driving a tape loading mechanism, a tape tension servo mechanism, a pinch roller displacement mechanism, etc. comprises a gear train disposed in a space extending arcuately along the drum and defined between the drum, supply reel disc, reel clutch mechanism and the capstan. Since the drive mechanism thus arranged does not overlap any of the components which are controlled in thickness by the width of a magnetic tape, a substantial reduction of the overall thickness of the apparatus is possible.Type: GrantFiled: June 13, 1991Date of Patent: June 8, 1993Assignee: Victor Company of Japan, Ltd.Inventors: Ritsu Miyamoto, Shigeyuki Kuroha, Hirofumi Ishii, Shinji Tezuka, Hiroshi Yoshizawa, Kazuaki Baba
