Patent number: 11535174Abstract: In an external sensor attachment portion structure of the present invention, an external sensor includes: a sensor main body including a detection unit that detects external information; a sensor attachment bracket used to attach the sensor main body to a vehicle body frame member; and a sensor garnish including a window portion through which the detection unit is exposed in front view. The sensor garnish is provided on an outer side of the host vehicle so as to expose the detection unit of the external sensor and cover the sensor main body and the sensor attachment bracket excluding the detection unit. Small gaps are provided between the sensor main body and a window frame of the window portion in the sensor garnish. The window frame includes a noise suppression portion that suppresses wind noise due to airflow passing through the gaps along a rearward direction of the host vehicle.Type: GrantFiled: May 11, 2020Date of Patent: December 27, 2022Assignee: HONDA MOTOR CO., LTD.Inventors: Takahiro Nakajima, Akihiro Kitagawa, Kazuaki Hiwatashi

Patent number: 10106023Abstract: When a first weather strip is mounted in a door panel, first, a hook portion of the first weather strip is locked to a lock hole formed so as to be open in the door panel. Next, a clip portion of the first weather strip is engaged with a clip hole formed so as to be open in the door panel. A second weather strip is mounted on an opposite side of the door panel opposite to the first weather strip. With the above, the first weather strip and the second weather strip are mounted in the door panel from both directions extending in the vehicle width direction, and a first lip of the first weather strip and a second lip of the second weather strip continue in a longitudinal direction.Type: GrantFiled: October 21, 2016Date of Patent: October 23, 2018Assignee: HONDA MOTOR CO., LTD.Inventors: Takahiro Kawase, Hiroyuki Takagai, Kazuaki Hiwatashi

Patent number: 9994155Abstract: A sleeve 15 is formed on a mirror base 10. An opening 28a is formed in a mirror head 20. The sleeve 15 has an outer peripheral surface including a first outer peripheral surface 15a and a second outer peripheral surface 15b. The second outer peripheral surface 15b is located further in an inward radial direction of the sleeve 15 than the first outer peripheral surface 15a. The second outer peripheral surface 15b is formed so as to extend smoothly in a circumferential direction of the sleeve. A passage 40, which guides wind entering the mirror head 20, is formed between the second outer peripheral surface 15b and an inner peripheral surface of the opening 28a.Type: GrantFiled: March 1, 2017Date of Patent: June 12, 2018Assignees: ISHIZAKI HONTEN CO., LTD., HONDA MOTOR CO., LTD.Inventors: Teiji Nishimoto, Hiroaki Ohtagaki, Tomoya Morimura, Kazuaki Hiwatashi, Takafumi Usui
