  • Patent number: 7562745
Abstract: An elevator in which a driving apparatus, a traction sheave, and a counterweight-side rope hitching portion are arranged above one rail of the right and left cage-side guide rails, while a cage-side rope hitching portion and a speed governor are arranged above the other rail of the right and left cage-side guide rails. Since a control panel is arranged along a rear inner wall surface of the machine room, a large operation space can be secured in a center part of the floor of the machine room. Further, since a machine beam can be extended at full length in the back and forth direction in the machine room, no additional building-side receiving beam is needed.

  • Patent number: 7413055
Abstract: In an elevator, a drive device, a traction sheave, and a weight-side stop portion are arranged above one of a pair of left and right cage-side guide rails, and a cage-side stop portion and speed governor are arranged above the other cage-side guide rail. A wide workspace is realized in the middle of the floor of the machinery chamber, since the control panel is arranged along the middle of the inside wall surface of the front face of the machinery chamber. Furthermore, provision of an additional supporting beam mounted in the building is unnecessary, since the machine beam can extend fully in the forwards/rearwards direction in the interior of the machinery chamber.

  • Publication number: 20070175707
Abstract: In an elevator according to the present invention, a driving apparatus 42, a traction sheave 41, and a counterweight-side rope hitching portion 46 are arranged above one rail 21L of the right and left cage-side guide rails, while a cage-side rope hitching portion 44 and a speed governor 47 are arranged above the other rail 21R of the right and left cage-side guide rails. Since a control panel 48 is arranged along a rear inner wall surface 34 of the machine room, a large operation space can be secured in a center part of the floor 31 of the machine room 30. Further, since a machine beam 53 can be extended at full length in the back and forth direction in the machine room 30, no additional building-side receiving beam is needed.

  • Publication number: 20050178621
Abstract: A drive device (42), a traction sheave (41) and a weight-side stop portion (46) are arranged above one (21L) of a pair of left and right cage-side guide rails and a cage-side stop portion (44) and speed governor (47) are arranged above the other (21R) cage-side guide rail. Also a wide workspace can be guaranteed in the middle of the floor (31) of the machinery chamber (30), since the control panel (48) is arranged along the middle of the inside wall surface (37) of the front face of the machinery chamber (30). Furthermore, provision of an additional supporting beam mounted in the building is unnecessary, since the machine beam (53) can extend fully in the forwards/rearwards direction in the interior of the machinery chamber (30).

  • Publication number: 20030168290
Abstract: In a normal operation mode, an upper counterweight (3a) and a lower counterweight (3b) are coupled together by an attachment/detachment device (4), and an operation is performed in this state. In a rescue operation mode, the upper counterweight (3a) and the lower counterweight (3b) are disconnected by the attachment/detachment device (4), and the lower counterweight (3b) is fixed to the counterweight guide rail by means of a fixing device (5). An operation is performed, using only the upper counterweight (3a). A control device is installed at a shaft position in the neighborhood of the top floor. If this control device becomes out of order, the serviceperson can move to a position which is near the control device.

  • Patent number: 6598707
Abstract: An elevator installed in an elevator shaft has a cage, a counterweight, hoist cables suspending the cage and the counterweight, and a driving unit disposed outside a space in which the cage moves vertically in the elevator shaft, and provided with drive sheaves around which the hoist cables are wound to move the cage and the counterweight in the elevator shaft by the driving unit. The hoist cables are wound around the drive sheaves and sheaves supported on the cage and the counterweight in two-to-one roping arrangement such that the driving unit is at a level below the ceiling of the cage as located at its uppermost position. The cage-side sheaves are disposed at four positions on the lower portion of the cage respectively and symmetrically with respect to a center of gravity of the cage in a top plan view.
