Abstract: A facsimile apparatus with automatic answering telephone function comprising an automatic reception mode to record a voice signal sent from an originating side with a recording unit and the facsimile reception mode to record an image signal sent from the originating side with a sound recording unit, which includes a reception switching mechanism to switch any one mode of the automatic reception mode and facsimile reception mode depending on the kind of a sending signal from the originating side.

Abstract: A change-over system for automatic answering telephony and facsimile reception in a facsimile apparatus capable of connecting an automatic answering telephone set thereto. The time interval until the automatic answering telephone set reaches an off-hook state from the beginning of the ringing is detected, thereby allowing the time of the beginning of the ringing of the said automatic answering telephone set to be altered by a correction function.

Abstract: An automatic dialing machine adapted to a facsimile machine having a telephone function comprises: a device for displaying an input number; a memory for storing part of telephone number and a coded number corresponding thereto; a speed dial key for inputing the coded number; a ten-key set for inputing a non-coded number; and a controller for displaying on the display device the coded number and non-coded number in turn and in series as they are input respectively from the speed dial key and ten-key set and further for performing a real-phone-number-dialing based on the displayed in-series number.

Abstract: A facsimile arrangement comprises a reception mode switching device adapted to connect a telephone line to the automatic answering telephone set upon detection of an incoming call signal regardless of whether a calling party is sending speech or a facsimile message and a detection device adapted to detect a signal from the calling party's facsimile. The reception mode switching device disconnects the telephone line from the automatic answering telephone set and then connects the telephone line with the facsimile set when the signal from the calling party's facsimile is detected. The calling party does not have to wait for a while when the calling party wants to leave a message since the automatic answering telephone set starts always prior to facsimile unit.

Abstract: A telephone number display device adapted to a facsimile machine having a telephone function comprises a telephone number input device, display device having first and second display areas for displaying a telephone number, and display mode controller for controlling the display device so as to display the telephone number given by the telephone number input devices in the first display area to the maximum number of places thereof and, when the telephone number overflows the first display area, the telephone number is divided into two groups and displayed in two display areas.
