    Abstract: An electrooptical manufacturing apparatus is provided for manufacturing an electrooptical apparatus with an improved liquid crystal display quality. The apparatus basically includes a dam-forming section or apparatus, a droplet-ejecting section or apparatus, a seal-forming section or apparatus and a pressure applying section or apparatus. The dam-forming section is configured and arranged to form a dam that defines a liquid crystal area on the internal surface of a first substrate. The droplet-ejecting section is configured and arranged to eject and drop a specific amount of liquid crystal inside the dam. The seal-forming section is configured and arranged to form a seal that is disposed on the external periphery of the dam for sealing a second substrate disposed opposite the first substrate. The pressure applying section is configured and arranged to superpose and press in a vacuum atmosphere the second substrate onto the seal formed on the first substrate.

    Abstract: A multilayer circuit board and a manufacturing method for producing the board via simple manufacturing processes employing a droplet jetting method, where the inter-layer insulating film can be easily made flat. The multilayer circuit board includes at least two wiring layers, an inter-layer insulating film provided between every adjacent two of the wiring layers, and conductive posts for providing electrical conductivity between the wiring layers. The manufacturing method includes the step of forming the inter-layer insulating film by changing the film thickness of the inter-layer insulating film according to a concavo-convex shape of an area where the inter-layer insulating film is formed, so as to level an upper surface of the inter-layer insulating film. The concavo-convex shape may be computed based on design data of a circuit pattern for forming the wiring layers and the conductive posts, or may be measured before the inter-layer insulating film is formed.

    Abstract: In a manufacturing method of a color filter for display devices having a plurality of pixels on a substrate, each pixel comprises a reflective layer and a color layer, the method of manufacture comprises a step of forming partitions which separate each pixel area from the other pixel areas to comprise the pixel in each pixel area; a step of forming the reflective layer by discharging a first liquid material into each of the pixel areas by means of a droplet discharge method; and a step of forming the color layer within each of the pixel areas. By this method, color filters can be manufactured without requiring photolithography or other complicated processes, in a short time, using little energy, and at low cost.
