  • Patent number: 10469384
Abstract: A communication device includes: a forwarding unit configured to determine, if a first packet is directed to the communication device, whether or not a forwarding destination address of the first packet can be specified based on a value contained in a first field of the first packet, the forwarding unit setting, if it can be specified, the specified forwarding destination address as the destination address of the first packet and forwarding the first packet; and a processing unit configured to perform, if no forwarding destination address of the first packet can be specified and the first packet includes a request packet that requests an object according to an object name of the object, processing for specifying the forwarding destination of the first request packet based on the object name.

  • Patent number: 10415533
Abstract: An ignition apparatus for internal combustion engines is provided. The ignition apparatus is equipped with an ECU. The ECU monitors a path length of a discharge of a spark for a period of time in which a second circuit delivers or inputs energy in the form of a threshold value determination. When the path length has become too short, the ECU determines that ignition is expected to be delayed and then selects a special mode to control the delay of the ignition. The ECU increase a target value of an energy input amount. This enables the delay of ignition resulting from a short extension of the path length to be minimized. The ignition apparatus equipped with the second circuit to continue the discharge of sparks is, thus, capable of reducing a variation in ignition without the need for uniformly increasing the energy input amount.

  • Patent number: 9719430
Abstract: A control system for an internal combustion engine has an intake valve, an exhaust valve, and an exhaust purifying catalyst that purifies exhaust gas after combustion of a fuel. During a fuel cut in which no fuel is supplied, a closing timing of the intake valve is controlled to a delayed angle side more than at a timing when the fuel is supplied and to a delayed angle side more than at a timing at a bottom dead center of an intake stroke, and an opening timing of the exhaust valve is controlled to an advanced angle side more than at the timing when the fuel is supplied and to an advanced angle side more than at the timing at the bottom dead center of an expansion stroke.

  • Patent number: 5050544
Abstract: A structure for mounting the same type of camshafts on two different types of cylinder heads which have reversed order of intake valve/exhaust valve arrangement, the same type of camshafts being mounted on the two types of cylinder heads so as to be staggered longitudinally by an amount delta. In the structure, thrust planes formed in the two types of cylinder heads also are staggered with respect to each other by the amount delta. Further, a single type of thrust bearing cap is provided which has a bolt hole spaced longitudinally from the transverse centerline of the bearing cap by one-half the amount delta. The bearing cap mounted to one type of cylinder head is in reversed orientation relative to the bearing cap mounted to the other type of cylinder head. This structure enables common use of the same camshaft manufacturing line and the same engine assembly line for the two types of cylinder heads.

  • Patent number: 4950824
Abstract: A process for the production of 2,6-diisopropylnaphthalene is disclosed wherein an isopropylation reaction mixture containing isopropylated naphthalenes is subjected to transalkylation with a triisopropylnaphthalene-containing mixture to obtain a mixture containing mono-, di- and tri-isopropylnaphthalenes which is then separated into a first fraction containing monisopropylnaphthalenes, a second fraction containing diisopropylnaphthalenes and a third fraction containing triisopropylnaphthalenes. The first and third fractions are recycled to the above system, while the second fraction is subjected to separation treatments for the recovery of 2,6-diisopropylnaphthalene. The second fraction from which 2,6-diisopropylnaphthalene has been removed is subjected to transalkylation with naphthalene to obtain a monoisopropylnaphthalene-rich mixture which is to be fed to the isopropylation step.
