  • Patent number: 5019850
Abstract: A photographic developing apparatus of the type in which development is effected by passing exposed sensitive material (principally one for printing such as photographic paper) successively through a developing vessel, a bleaching/fixing vessel, and a rinsing vessel. The bleaching/fixing vessel is replenished with a mixture of concentrated processing liquid and liquid extracted from the rinsing vessel, so that the amount of processing liquid discharged from the rinsing vessel as overflow is reduced, thereby alleviating the burden of waste liquid disposal.

  • Patent number: 5004675
Abstract: A method for processing a silver halide color photosensitive material is disclosed. The process step comprises developing a color photographic light-sensitive material composed of a support having thereon at least one light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer containing a silver halide containing at least 80 mol % silver chloride; at least one emulsion layer thereof containing a dispersion of a mixture of (i) at least one oil-soluble non-diffusible cyan coupler capable of forming a substantially non-diffusible cyan dye by coupling with the oxidized form of a developing agent, and (ii) a water-insoluble polymer;in a color developer solution comprising a primary amine color developing agent, and having a chloride ion concentration of from 3.5.times.10.sup.-2 to 1.5.times.10.sup.-1 mol/l, and a bromide ion concentration of from 3.0.times.10.sup.-5 to 1.0.times.10.sup.-3 mol/l.

  • Patent number: 4965175
Abstract: A method for continuous processing of a silver halide color photosensitive material is disclosed. The process steps comprise developing a color photographic light-sensitive material comprising a support having thereon at least one light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer containing a silver halide comprising at least 80 mol % silver chloride, in a color developer solution containing a chloride ion concentration of from 3.5.times.10.sup.-2 to 2.0.times.10.sup.-1 mol/l, said developing step being conducted in a developer bath having a bath opening ratio (S/V) of at most 0.015 cm.sup.-1 wherein S is air-contacting area of the bath in cm.sup.2 and V is a total volume of the bath in cm.sup.3.

  • Patent number: 4937608
Abstract: In a photographic processing apparatus for immersing and developing an exposed light sensitive material in a developer contained in a developing tank, the temperature of the developer is detected and an evaporation amount of the developer corresponding to an elapsed time period is estimated on the basis of the temperature detected. Then, a replenishment water is supplied to the developing tank by the amount based on this estimated evaporation amount. Consequently, an optimum concentration of the developer in the developing tank can be maintained, thereby preventing a change in the developing characteristics.

  • Patent number: 4421539
Abstract: There is described a method of producing a rod-shaped base material for an optical transmission fiber which has the steps of advantageously measuring the refractive index distribution of the transparent glass rod obtained. The method contemplates heating and sintering the glass soot unit before the step of covering quartz glass material onto the transparent glass rod and removing the outer peripheral part of the transparent glass rod in which the value of the refractive index is largely displaced from a reference in a predetermined range. The rod-shaped base material thus produced exhibits very wide band width transmission characteristics.

  • Patent number: 4067804
Abstract: A solute-separating membrane consisting of a polyoxadiazole series resin containing at least one of the structural units of formulae: ##STR1## wherein Ar and Ar' are same or different multivalent aromatic residues, and R is an alkyl, cycloalkyl or aralkyl group having from 1 to 7 carbon atoms, and swollen to a swelling degree of 1.7-15 with a swelling agent of water, a solvent miscible with water, or a mixture of water and the solvent has a high separating ability and further has high mechanical strength and chemical and thermal stabilities.
