  • Publication number: 20230290186
Abstract: An image processing apparatus is configured to determine whether a person in an image is a living body. The image processing apparatus includes a processor, and a memory storing executable instructions which, when executed by the processor, cause the image processing apparatus to perform operations including determining, based on a time-series image acquired during a predetermined time period, a threshold indicating a skin color range, obtaining color information describing a skin color area in the time-series image based on the threshold, and controlling, based on the color information, whether to continue biometric determination processing for determining whether a person in the time-series image is a living body.

  • Patent number: 10366709
Abstract: A sound discriminating device capable of correctly discriminating a cry or other given sounds is provided. When a sound is input from a sound input unit, a feature amount extracting unit extracts a differential value between the amplitude of a fundamental frequency of the input sound and the amplitude of the second harmonic of the fundamental frequency as a feature amount of the input sound. A likelihood calculating unit calculates a likelihood between an acoustic model set for which a feature amount is known and the extracted feature amount. A result output unit determines whether or not the input sound is the given sound based on the result of the likelihood calculation.

  • Publication number: 20140086551
Abstract: From a plurality of images acquired by capturing images from a plurality of viewpoints, a first image having a region at a first in-focus depth, a second image having a region at a second in-focus depth, which is different from the first in-focus depth, and a third image having a region at an in-focus depth between the first in-focus depth and the second in-focus depth are generated. The first image, the third image, and the second image are displayed on a display unit. A sound is generated from a sound associated with the first image and that associated with the second image. The generated sound is reproduced while the first image, the third image, and the second image are displayed on the display unit one by one.

  • Publication number: 20120300022
Abstract: A specific sound is detected from sounds input by a sound input unit, using thresholds for detecting sounds. Images captured by an image capturing unit are recorded. A difference between a recorded image and a current image is calculated, and a location of a moving object is detected from the current image. A correspondence between information indicating a specific position in an image and information indicating sounds that could occur in the specific position is managed. In the case where a moving object is detected, the threshold for detecting a sound is changed, and the specific sound is detected from sounds, using the changed threshold, with reference to the correspondence managed in the position/sound correspondence information management unit.

  • Publication number: 20120281016
Abstract: In instances where a plurality of objects is aligned by an operation using a pointing device having only a single point for pointing, the procedure is a troublesome one. To solve this problem, an information processing apparatus according to the invention includes a display unit configured to display objects; a recognition unit configured to recognize that a plurality of positions on the display unit have been designated; and an alignment unit. In a state in which a first position contained in an area in which a plurality of objects are displayed has been recognized by the recognition unit and a second position on the display unit has been recognized by the recognition unit, the alignment unit aligns the plurality of objects on the display unit in accordance with path of movement when movement of the first position or second position has been detected.

  • Publication number: 20100053221
Abstract: An information processing apparatus that can fix the position at which some of a plurality of objects are displayed, and scroll objects other than these objects in that state, using a small number of procedural steps is provided. A recognition unit recognizes that a plurality of positions have been designated on a display on which objects are displayed. Where a first position corresponding to a position at which one of a plurality of objects is displayed is recognized by the recognition unit, and a second position corresponding to a position that is located on the display and at which a designated object is not displayed is recognized by the recognition unit, a display control unit scrolls objects other than the designated object, when a movement of the second position has been detected.

  • Patent number: 7603269
Abstract: A speech recognition grammar creating apparatus, which is capable of eliminating complex labor associated with preparing all rules by taking into account changes of the order of component elements of a speech-recognizing object and possible combinations of component elements including at least one component element that can be omitted. In the speech recognition grammar creating apparatus, an image edit section groups together at least one component element that cannot be omitted and at least one component element that can be omitted, as the speech-recognizing object, into a component element group as an omission-allowed group. An augmented BNF converting section creates the speech recognition grammar by expanding the component element group obtained by the grouping.
