  • Publication number: 20100107561
Abstract: A controller that controls a registered mark sensor stores, in a storing unit, a registered mark setting (239) which indicates a setting of the detecting sensitivity of the registered mark sensor in association with a bar code number (231). Upon reception of the bar code number (231) from a bar code reader, the controller reads out the registered mark setting (239) associated with the bar code number (231). Then the controller sets the registered mark sensor to the detecting sensitivity associated with the registered mark setting (239) thus read out.

  • Publication number: 20090002410
Abstract: Data is printed predetermined number of times on a print area having a width W2 smaller than the maximum print width W1 of a print head (26) by using predetermined ink nozzles (26d) while moving a print medium F relative to the print head (26) in a state that the position of the print head (26) in a direction perpendicular to a feeding direction X of the print medium F is fixed. After that, the print head (26) is moved in the direction perpendicular to the feeding direction X of the print medium F each time printing has been performed the predetermined number of times while the print medium F is moved at a predetermined pitch at a time, and printing is again performed on the print area by using ink nozzles (26d) which are different at least partly from the ink nozzles (26d) which were used before the move, in the state that the print head (26) is fixed.

  • Patent number: 6666600
Abstract: There is provided an apparatus which can make a correction such that paper will not be fed in a tilted state without a need for any special mechanism. A moving mechanism C1 is driven to move a printing head 41 toward a platen and to urge the printing head against paper, and gap adjusting means C2 is driven using said position as a reference to space the printing head from the platen a predetermined amount, thereby adjusting a gap between the printing head and the platen. The direction and amount of a tilt of the paper are detected based on signals output by paper detecting sensors E when the paper is fed. When said amount of the tilt exceeds a predetermined range, head driving means A and the moving mechanism C1 are driven to sandwich an edge of the paper in the direction of the width thereof between the printing head and the platen, and the sandwiched state is adjusted by the gap adjusting means C2.
