  • Patent number: 7159171
Abstract: A structured document inputted from a document input unit is decomposed into partial structures to be an editing unit in a document processing unit, and global structural information showing a relation between the partial structures is registered into a relational database. The decomposed partial structure is inputted to an editing unit processing unit, and information of elements as element information and a relation between elements in the partial structure as structural information are registered into the relational database. An ancestor-descendant relation between two elements can be determined easily and speedily by determining an ancestor-descendant relation between the partial structures of the global structural information and an ancestor-descendant relation of the structural information of the ancestor partial structure.

  • Patent number: 5728450
Abstract: A Thermally transferable ink sheet comprises a base film having a periodically repeating set of successive ink coated regions having a plurality of color inks thereon, and index mark regions whose index mark comprises a combination of a plurality of sensor marks indicating information regarding the ink sheet located at each border between adjacent ink coated regions. According to a preferred embodiment, each pair of adjacent ink coated regions juxtaposed across each border have extended portions extending toward each other into the index mark region in directions parallel to the direction of ink sheet feeding. Thus, it is possible to read the index mark and identify the ink colors of adjacent ink coated regions at the same time. According to another feature, two sets of index marks are provided contiguous to each other to allow the print apparatus to be controlled by the combination of the resultant readings obtained separately from both sets of index marks.

  • Patent number: 5555462
Abstract: A sheet feeding apparatus detects the position of a sheet (30) during feeding thereof and calculates a deviation of the detected sheet position relative to a reference position to thereby enable accurate color printing. A follower roller (41) for detecting a feeding amount of the sheet is in contact with the sheet which is fed by a sheet feeding roller 1, so that is rotated in accordance with the movement of the sheet. A sensor (43) generates an output signal each time the follower roller (41) rotates a predetermined angle of rotation. In one form of the invention, a timing deviation detector (51) is provided for detecting a deviation in the output timing of an output signal of the sensor relative to a reference value. In another form, a rotation angle deviation detector is provided for detecting a deviation in the rotation angle of the sheet feeding roller relative to a reference value each time the sensor generates an output signal.

  • Patent number: 5424762
Abstract: The provision is made of a firmware (F/W: ROM, RAM) which enables an accurate indexing of an ink sheet so that printing is not performed at the joint portion when an ink sheet having a joint is used. Therefore, an ink sheet having a joint can be used, decreasing running cost of the printer.

  • Patent number: 4885494
Abstract: This invention relates to a motor and a motor apparatus and is so constructed that end rings and bars composing a squirrel cage rotor of the motor are formed in a hollow or grooved shape and superconductive materials are filled within said end rings and bars to form looped circuits, which are symmetrical relative to a center line of a field, of a number equal to a number of poles, by the superconductive materials filled in each two bars and both end rings, so that the motor exhibits starting characteristics similar to those in an induction motor using a squirrel cage rotor composed of usual conductors by starting in an atmosphere of room temperature, and the operational characteristics as a very highly efficient synchronous motor by cooling the rotor to a critical temperature or less of the superconductive material after starting a permanent direct current flows through field windings composed of the superconductive materials.
