  • Patent number: 4546412
Abstract: An electronic device for an automobile is roughly divided into individual parts and control circuit elements which are mounted in a casing divided into two compartments, according to the present invention. The individual parts are arranged in one compartment and are covered with silicone rubber to improve their water resistance. The control circuit elements are arranged in the other compartment and are covered with a silicone gel to prevent any stresses acting upon the control circuit elements, such as ICs, and provide these elements with moisture resistance. The control circuit elements are bonded by high-temperature solder to improve their heat resistance, but the individual parts are bonded by eutectic solder.

  • Patent number: 4267470
Abstract: A rotational angle detecting apparatus comprises a rotary disc having first protrusions for an angle signal provided along the outer periphery of the disc and second protrusion for a reference signal arranged adjacent to the first protrusions in the thickness direction of the disc. A pick-up assembly is disposed to face the second protrusion to sense the rotationl position thereof. The sensed signal including noise components due to a magnetic coupling between the pick-up assembly and the first protrusions is subject to an integration and then applied to a level detector to generate a first pulse signal which occurs only during the integration signal being greater than a predetermined threshold level. On the other hand, a second pulse signal is produced by shaping the sensed signal. The first and second pulse signals are applied to an AND logic gate from which an output pulse is obtained in synchronism with the rotation of the disc.

  • Patent number: 4248201
Abstract: In a molded ignition device, an ignition coil with primary and secondary coils is molded with synthetic resin. A metal casing is mounted on the outer surface of the molded coil. A microelectric circuit such as an IC circuit is disposed in the space defined by the casing and the outer surface of the molded coil.

  • Patent number: 4129104
Abstract: In an ignition timing control device of the negative pressure actuation type having a diaphragm secured to a rod connected to an ignition timing adjusting plate having an ignition signal generating means mounted thereon, the diaphragm being held between two diaphragm cases to define first and second diaphragm chambers therebetween, and a negative pressure introducing port formed in the diaphragm case defining the first diaphragm chamber and communicating with a negative pressure source so as to introduce a negative pressure into the first diaphragm chamber to operate the ignition timing adjusting plate to effect ignition advance or ignition lag, an empty space is formed at the entrance to the diaphragm case defining the first diaphragm chamber for housing therein an electrically operated valve and maintained in communication with the first diaphragm chamber, and the empty space communicates with the negative pressure introducing port through a negative pressure communication opening and with the atmosphere th

  • Patent number: 4023546
Abstract: This invention relates to a distributor wherein at least two high voltage pulses are induced according to the rotation of an engine and wherein the high voltage pulses are respectively distributed to at least two spark plugs disposed for the cylinders of the engine. In order to make the structure of the distributor small, a first central terminal which receives one of the high voltage pulses is disposed along the axial direction of the distributor, a second central terminal which receives the other high voltage pulses is disposed in a direction perpendicular to the distributor axis, and first stationary terminals to which the first high voltage pulse is applied through a first rotor terminal from the first central terminal and second stationary terminals to which the second high voltage pulse is applied through a second rotor terminal from the second central terminal are arranged on concentric circles about the first central terminal.
