  • Patent number: 5065645
Abstract: A power transmission device, in particular for a Diesel motor car is disclosed which comprises a hydraulic transmission and a mechanical transmission connected in series, the latter having low- and high-speed clutches, where in place of a direct drive clutch comprising a mechanical clutch that has hitherto been provided at the input side of the hydraulic transmission low- and high-speed clutches each comprising a mechanical clutch are provided in the mechanical transmission so as to serve as a direct drive clutch, remarkably shortening the time necessary for engaging the low- and high-speed clutch e.g. when the car is coasting with the low- and high-speed clutches disengaged.

  • Patent number: 4459668
Abstract: An automatic train control device which has a detector for detecting whether a newly received train speed signal instruction is for instructing the train to run at a lower speed than that according to an earlier signal while the train is running at a speed within the range according to the instruction received by an earlier signal, and thus finds itself running at a speed exceeding the speed according to the newly received instruction. A differential speed detector, which is connected to the signal detector, detects the excess of the train speed over the speed according to the newly received instruction. A memory outputs one braking instruction from among a plurality of stored optimum braking patterns to a device which controls the application of the brake according to the output from the memory, the memory output being in response to an excess train speed.

  • Patent number: 4052109
Abstract: An air brake system for a vehicle includes both automatic braking and direct braking. The equipment for direct braking requires the installation of a main air reservoir pipe in the longitudinal direction of a train. A single pipe serves both as the brake pipe for automatic braking and as the main air reservoir pipe for direct braking. A control valve for automatic braking is connected to the air pipe via a pressure-adjust valve for adjusting the pressure of the air supplied to the control valve to a specified value, and via a check valve arranged parallel thereto. An air pipe supplying the pressure from the control valve to the brake cylinder and an air pipe supplying the pressure from the direct brake equipment to the brake cylinder are respectively connected to the brake cylinder via a double check valve.
