  • Publication number: 20100119060
Abstract: The present invention provides a receiving apparatus including a device key generating unit which generates a device key, a work key generating unit which generates a work key, a device key storing unit which sequentially stores the generated device key, every time the device key is updated, and a recording unit which stores a digital broadcast signal in a transport stream format, wherein in a case where the device key generating unit cannot generate, from the stored transport stream, a device key necessary for descrambling the stored transport stream when the stored transport stream is to be reproduced, the work key generating unit decrypts an encrypted work key that is obtained from the stored transport stream, using the device key stored in the device key storing unit, and generates a work key.

  • Publication number: 20090310780
Abstract: Before a device key generation procedure is updated in response to execution of revoke, a recorded transport stream is decrypted using an unupdated device key and is stored in a memory unit after being re-encrypted. In this manner, broadcast programs that are recorded before the revoke can be viewed while maintaining a copyright protection function.

  • Publication number: 20080138046
Abstract: An image reproducing apparatus is connected to a display device via a video data transmitting unit and a file data transmitting unit and is driven by a battery. The image reproducing apparatus calculates a first electric power required to transmit video data to the display device and a second electric power required to transmit file data to the display device, and acquires a remaining amount of electric power in the battery. Then, the image reproducing apparatus judges whether the acquired remaining amount of electric power in the battery is equal to or larger than the first electric power, is equal to or larger than the second electric power but smaller than the first electric power, or is smaller than the second electric power, and determines whether the image data is to be transmitted as the video data or the file data.

  • Patent number: 7250960
Abstract: A thermal head includes a head substrate having a plurality of heating resistors which generate heat by electrical dissipation, a common electrode connected to one end of each heating resistor, and a plurality of individual electrodes connected to the other ends of the respective heating resistors. The head substrate is disposed on a heat-dissipation plate. A wide-gap stepped portion is disposed in correspondence with at least a location of the head substrate directly below the heating resistors, and increases an interval between an adhesion surface of the head substrate and an adhesion surface of the heat-dissipation plate. A resilient adhesive capable of absorbing thermal strain is interposed between the adhesion surface of the heat-dissipation plate and the adhesion surface of the head substrate in an adhesion plane where the wide-gap stepped portion is disposed.

  • Publication number: 20050278379
Abstract: Similar image data, which are similar to a target image data to which a keyword is to be added, are retrieved. Then, keywords added to the retrieved similar image data are added to the target image data. By diverting the keywords of the similar image data, which are similar to the target image data, to keywords of the target image data, addition candidates can be limited to relatively relevant keywords, and thereby a burden in adding a keyword is reduced.
