  • Patent number: 7561591
Abstract: If own station detects that a slot S2 previously reserved for own transmission has been occupied by another station when transmitting a message at a current slot S3, the own station sets the occupied slot to a time-out value of zero S0 upon transmitting the message at the current slot S3. At the same time, the own station re-reserves a new slot S5 within an SI in a succeeding frame so that transmission from the own station at the new slot S5 does not conflict with transmission from the other station at the occupied slot, now reserved by other station as slot A.

  • Patent number: 7336643
Abstract: A TDMA communications apparatus is provided with a central processor and a control circuit for resetting or fine-adjusting a count value of a slot timing generating counter which generates slot timing pulses used for establishing synchronization of communication. The central processor switches the apparatus to coarse adjustment mode upon detecting RSSI level of a signal received from specific one of other stations. Then, the central processor switches the apparatus to verification mode to verify that data of individual slots are correctly received for a specific period of time and proceeds to fine adjustment mode, in which the central processor fine adjusts the count value of the slot timing generating counter so as to track the signal from the specific station using it as a tracking station.

  • Patent number: 6571090
Abstract: The present invention relates to a radio receiver or a diversity receiver where reception waves respectively reaching a plurality N of branches in parallel are cyclically selected at a first frequency equal to a value of the product of a symbol frequency, the plurality N being a total number of branches, and a prescribed number E equal to or greater than “2”, the instantaneous values of selected reception waves are sequentially sampled at a second frequency equal to or higher than the first frequency, and a resulting sequence of instantaneous values is cyclically split at the first frequency, whereby sequences of instantaneous values individually corresponding to the plurality N of reception waves are output. In a radio transmission system applying the above radio receiver or diversity receiver, reception waves reaching a plurality of branches are received in parallel without largely increasing hardware in scale.

  • Patent number: 5944665
Abstract: An ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus for diagnosing a characteristic of a body to be examined by passing ultrasound through the body to be examined which is placed between a pair of ultrasound transducers. The apparatus comprises a pair of ultrasound transducers which are fixedly disposed facing to one another, with one of the ultrasound transducers (5) having a first standoff on the transmitting/receiving surface thereof, with the other ultrasound transducer (4) being housed in a movable tank having a second standoff at its front end, and moves the movable tank so that the body between the front end surface of the first standoff and the front end surface of the second standoff are brought into contact thereto and diagnoses a characteristic of the body based on signals emitted and received by the ultrasound transducers.
