    Abstract: According to the method and the apparatus for curing a coated film of the present invention, since an ionization radiation is applied after the O2 concentration in the near-surface layer within 1 mm above the surface of the coated film is adjusted to 1000 ppm or lower, the coated film can be sufficiently cured by irradiation of the ionization radiation. In other words, according to the method and the apparatus for curing a coated film of the present invention, since the O2 concentration in a thin near-surface layer on the surface of a coated film is decreased, the coated film can be sufficiently cured by irradiation of an ionization radiation. As a result, the amount of inert gas supplied upon irradiation of an ionization radiation can be reduced, and downsizing and cost reduction of equipment can be achieved.

    Abstract: In an aspect of the coating method according to the present invention, the lower limit decompression degree PS1 at which a seam trouble occurs is obtained from the formula of the viscocapillary model. According to the aspect of the present invention, coating is performed by setting the Pb so as to satisfy PS1<P0?Pb?PS1+0.2, and therefore, stepped unevenness can be effectively suppressed so that a seam trouble does not occur. It goes without saying that the aspect of the present invention can be applied to high viscosity/thick film coating, but it is effective especially in the case where a coating solution with low viscosity (for example, 0.005 Pa·s or lower) is coated to be an ultra-thin film (for example, 10 ?m or less in the wet film thickness) where stepped unevenness easily occurs.

    Abstract: According to the coating method of the present invention, the uneven portion on the land of the upstream side makes it possible to increase a contact area between the coating solution and the land, thereby improving the stability of a bead. In other words, according to the coating method of the present invention, it is possible to improve the stability of a bead on the upstream side, the stability having been reduced by the overbite shape of the die. Thus, even when a coating solution having a low viscosity of 10 cp or less is applied with a small coating amount of 10 cc/m2 or less, it is possible to increase the speed of the web without causing an uneven coating.
