  • Publication number: 20120112971
Abstract: It is an object to provide an antenna unit capable of operating in response to a plurality of types of counterpart equipment that operate at different resonance frequencies while enhancing its passing characteristic, as well as providing a portable wireless device equipped with the antenna unit. An antenna unit that performs wireless communication originating from induction coupling includes a loop antenna coiled by a conductor in a planar shape; and a metallic plate that is positioned while displaced from the loop antenna in one direction and that partially encloses a circumference of the loop antenna when viewed from the direction, wherein each of ends of the metallic plate overlaps a portion of the loop antenna when viewed from the direction.

  • Publication number: 20120094599
Abstract: An antenna unit of the present invention is an antenna unit that performs wireless communication utilizing induction coupling, the unit includes a loop antenna; a communication circuit section that is connected to the loop antenna in order to perform wireless communication utilizing induction coupling; a metallic plate provided outside or inside the loop antenna in a form of a loop by an openable and closable switch; and a detector that detects a receiving level of a wireless signal received by the loop antenna, wherein the communication circuit section controls opening and closing of the switch according to a receiving level of the wireless signal detected by the detector, thereby switching a state of the metallic plate between a closed looped state and an open non-looped state.

  • Publication number: 20100183105
Abstract: An OFDM receiver (100) has an FFT circuit (107c), an OFDM demodulating section (107) which performs OFDM demodulation for the received OFDM signal, a D/U (Desire to Undesire ratio) measuring section (106a) which measures the D/U in accordance with the OFDM-demodulated signal, a window function processing section (107b) provided at the preceding stage of the FFT circuit (107c), and a selecting section (106b) which switches the factors of the window function processing section (107b) in accordance with the D/U measured by the D/U measuring section (106a). This ensures elimination of interfering waves excellently with relatively simple configuration and low power consumption while suppressing deterioration in the BER due to processing of the window function.

  • Publication number: 20060202891
Abstract: An array antenna reception apparatus capable of calibrating a received signal with high accuracy without generating unnecessary radiations at an antenna section even when the power level of the received signal is low. In this apparatus, reference signal generation section (123) operates only when the power level of the received signal captured by antenna section (111) is low and a reference signal is generated. Error calculation section (122) compares information (S3) on the received signal multiplexed with the reference signal with calibration signal (S4) to thereby calculate an error of the received signal produced in the received signal due to signal processing at reception unit (110) and instructs received signal processing section (121) to compensate for the received signal based on the calculated error of the received signal.

  • Patent number: 6690921
Abstract: A gain of a receiving amplifier can be measured by inputting pilot signals each having a different frequency into an input side and an output side of the receiving amplifier respectively, then detecting these pilot signals respectively by a main apparatus having an abnormality detecting function, and then comparing their relative values.
