  • Patent number: 8206324
Abstract: A living body monitoring activity system detects major activities, or feeble living body activities. In a method for monitoring existence of human movements or living body activities in living environments (e.g., sleeping activities involving a bed, a Futon-mat, a pad, or a Tatami-mat), an optical fiber type flat shaped body sensor including an optical fiber affixed or fitted to a flat shaped body is used, and light is emitted into the optical fiber from a light source, and changes of polarized wave conditions of light propagating in the optical fiber are brought about by changes in form of the optical fiber type flat shaped body sensor caused by human movements or living body activities and are detected by a measuring apparatus for polarized wave fluctuations so human activities or movements are discriminated based on the detected value of the polarized wave fluctuations.

  • Patent number: 8079061
Abstract: Inputted information (such as biometric information) is compared to template information (including correlation or authentication) and the result is recorded as log information. According to log information for each of the types of the inputted information (such as information specifying the user who has inputted it and the template), analysis is executed for the inputted information for each of the types. This analysis includes the following aspects. That is, the following states are detected and an alarm is outputted for the accuracy of the corresponding type: when the ratio of negative comparison results (correlation failures) not smaller than a predetermined value is detected within a predetermined period of time; and when a negative result is detected within a predetermined time before an affirmative comparison result is obtained.

  • Patent number: 7984628
Abstract: When an operation for washing is completed and door is unlocked, water level in a water tank is monitored only for a prescribed time period. When there is no water leakage, monitoring is stopped after the prescribed time period and the power is turned off. When there is a water leakage, water level in the water tank increases. When it is detected that a first water level is reached, the door is locked to prevent opening. After a prescribed time period, the power is turned off while the door is kept locked. If the door cannot be locked, the door lock error is notified and the water collected in the water tank is drained.

  • Patent number: 7516080
Abstract: A collection request inputted at a consignor destination system is recorded on an electronic tag attached to freight and sent to a collection management system so as to be received. During collection of freight, information concerning collection is recorded on the electronic tag by means of a terminal unit and the collection information is sent to the collection management system. An in-base station freight information management system informs a freight information overall management system of the collection information and information concerning freight passing through the base station. The freight information overall management system acquires a transport history of the freight on the basis of the information sent from the in-base station freight information management system, calculates a delivery schedule of the freight and informs it to each in-base station freight information management system.

  • Patent number: 7290451
Abstract: A human or other status discriminating apparatus includes an ultrasonic vibration detecting sensor comprising a container main body, a liquid packed tightly in the container main body, and an ultrasonic vibrator for transmitting ultrasonic waves into the liquid and receiving ultrasonic waves reflected from the liquid surface, to detect behavior of a subject, an ultrasonic transmission and reception control device including an ultrasonic transmitter/receiver, a signal converter, and a microcomputer, for issuing a transmission signal at specific time intervals to the ultrasonic detecting sensor, receiving a reception signal at specific time intervals from the ultrasonic detecting sensor, and calculating risk associated with the detection object from the change of maximum amplitude of the input reception signal, and a cable for coupling the ultrasonic detecting sensor and ultrasonic transmission and reception control device, and forming an input and output passage of transmission signal and reception signal.

  • Publication number: 20070168556
Abstract: Electronic data is delivered by using the secret sharing method. A transmission source device divides the electronic data into a predetermined number of partial data by using the secret sharing method and creates an arbitrary number of auxiliary data corresponding to the predetermined number of partial data and having information required for calculating the total number of the auxiliary data and the partial data. These are transmitted to a transmission destination device as a transmission destination of the electronic data via a network. The transmission destination device stores reception data containing a plurality of partial data and the auxiliary data in a storage device and restores the electronic data as the source data before the division from the partial data if the partial data and the auxiliary data has not been tampered.
