  • Patent number: 11962843
Abstract: A broadcast receiving apparatus includes: a digital broadcast receiver configured to receive digital broadcasting in which contents are transmitted; a network transceiver configured to execute network communication; a data string converter configured to perform a mixing process for creating a new coded data string based on a coded data string of the received contents and a coded data string acquired by the network transceiver; a digital interface configured to output the contents to external equipment; and a controller configured to determine a state of the network communication of the external equipment. The state of the network communication of the external equipment includes a first state in which the network communication is in a communicable state and a second state in which the network communication is in an uncommunicable state. In accordance with the determined state of the network communication, the digital interface performs three types of output operations.

  • Publication number: 20240089527
Abstract: A broadcast receiving includes a broadcast receiver that receives a broadcast wave of a digital broadcasting service; a separator that separates coded program video data, program-cooperation data, and screen layout control information, from the broadcast wave; a video decoder that decodes the coded program video data to reproduce program video information; a cooperation information generator that interprets the program-cooperation data to generate program-cooperation information; and a control unit that, when an instruction to display a given screen is input while the presentation processor divides video display region into sub-regions based on the screen layout control information, places the program video information in one of the sub-regions, places the program-cooperation information in another sub-region, and outputs the data of the video display region as the video information, outputs information of the given screen as the video information without dividing the video display region based on the screen

  • Publication number: 20090044071
Abstract: The data error correcting device is provided with: a error correction means which performs an error correction process on a time-series of bits of input data, and produces corrected data and parameters showing an error sensing status at the time of correction; an estimated data producing means which responds to an instruction for data estimation, and produces estimated data configured of a time-series of bits resulting from adjustment of a time-series of bits of input data; and a control means which produces a data estimation instruction based on information included in the corrected data and parameters, and supplies the estimated data to the error correction means instead of the input data.

  • Patent number: 6744828
Abstract: An intermediate frequency signal SIF is demodulated and the noise component contained in a null portion (no-signal portion) is detected as the noise component contained in a signal of the sub-carrier frequencies. The frequency f0 of a reference frequency signal LO of a local oscillator 24 is feedback-controlled in accordance with the noise component thus detected. Further, the frequency f0 of the reference frequency signal LO is feedback-controlled in accordance with an error rate detected by an error correction section 23. Thus, the sub-carriers within the intermediate frequency signal SIF subjected to the frequency conversion by a mixer 16 based on the reference frequency signal LO thus feedback-controlled is separated from the noise component on the frequency axis. The intermediate frequency signal SIF is subjected to the Fourier transformation by a digital mixer/FFT calculation section 21, so that the noise component can be suppressed.

  • Publication number: 20020057750
Abstract: In one aspect of the invention, an OFDM receiver for receiving and demodulating OFDM signal comprises an automatic gain adjuster for adjusting the level of OFDM signal; a demodulator for demodulating a level-adjusted signal outputted from the automatic gain adjuster; a detector for detecting guard intervals contained in the OFDM signal; and a controller for controlling the automatic gain adjuster within the periods of guard intervals detected by the detector. In another aspect of the invention, an OFDM receiver includes a detector for detecting a level change of an OFDM signal and an automatic gain controller for adjusting the level of the OFDM signal in accordance with a signal level detected by the detector.
