  • Patent number: 6478680
Abstract: A CD-ROM which records a game program and movie data is used to display a movie on part of a face of a character appearing in a game. A predetermined face object is placed in a virtual three-dimensional space. A region of which expression should be changed within the face object is specified. An image data reading unit sequentially reads frame images of movie data representative of a change of expression of the region from the CD-ROM to an image data buffer unit. An image data transferring unit sequentially stores the frame images into a plurality of buffer areas included in a texture data buffer unit, while switching the buffer areas. A texture mapping unit sequentially maps the frame images sequentially stored in the buffer areas within the texture data buffer unit to the region as texture data, in parallel to the storing operation.

  • Patent number: 6379784
Abstract: An aromatic polyimide laminate composed of an aromatic polyimide composite film, a metal film, and a release film is disclosed. The aromatic polyimide composite film is composed of an aromatic polyimide substrate film and two thermoplastic aromatic polyimide layers. Each thermoplastic layer is fixed to each surface of the substrate film. The substrate film has no glass transition temperature of lower than 350° C., and the thermoplastic aromatic polyimide layer has a glass transition temperature of 190-280° C. The metal film is fixed, with no intervening adhesive layer, to one thermoplastic aromatic polyimide layer at a 90° peel strength of 0.8 kg/cm or more and the release film is fixed, with no intervening adhesive layer, to another thermoplastic aromatic polyimide layer at a 90° peel strength of 0.001-0.5 kg/cm, under such condition that the latter peel strength is one half or less of the former peel strength.

  • Patent number: 6251507
Abstract: A flexible aromatic polyimide film/metal film composite sheet is composed of a multi-layered polyimide film having a highly heat-resistant aromatic polyimide layer to one surface of which is bonded another aromatic polyimide layer (in which the multi-layer polyimide film is prepared by simultaneous casting), and a metal film which is bonded to the latter polyimide layer by heating under pressure and subsequent cooling under pressure using a double belt press.

  • Patent number: 6065771
Abstract: In order to reconcile the cleaving performance and the quality of appearance of an instrument panel for an bag, an instrument panel is provided having a skin member of a single layer structure, a cleaving section formed by a groove provided on the back of the skin member is composed of a longitudinal cleaving section which is substantially linear and a pair of "V " shaped lateral cleaving sections which are ramified respectively from both ends of the longitudinal cleaving section and which open forward and extend obliquely with respect to the direction of extension of the longitudinal cleaving section. Furthermore, where a skin member of a double-layered structure in which at least a cushion layer is disposed on the back of a skin layer, a door member is formed on the back of a skin member, in which a brittle section is created, as one body there with by injection-molding a resin material and a brittle section of the door member facing the brittle section of the skin member.

  • Patent number: 6029996
Abstract: In an air bag device, a diffuser 5 is provided with a partition wall 51 partitioning a space on a case opening side of the diffuser 5 into a passenger side and a side further from the passenger; a gas guiding passage 7 for guiding gas produced by an inflator 4 to a case opening 21 is formed on the side of this partition wall 51 further from the passenger, a folded air bag 3 is packed on the passenger side of the partition wall 51, and a case-side end portion 32a of an air bag upper part 32 to constitute the upper part of the deployed air bag is disposed so as to cover the exit of the gas guiding passage 7. As a result, the end portion 32a of the air bag upper part 32 is expanded first and the air bag subsequently deploys progressively and smoothly from this air bag upper part 32 side in a controlled manner.

  • Patent number: 4995073
Abstract: A communication system, and an apparatus therefor, are used in combination with an integrated service digital network. The proposed system, and the apparatus, can achieve a change of service from an equipment to another, for example from a telephone unit to a facsimile unit, both connected to the same telephone line, without disconnecting a call made through the telephone line. For this purpose, the proposed system or apparatus has a discriminating unit for identifying a request for communication released from another unit connected to the same telephone, and a communication control unit for automatically communicating with a destination unit with which said other unit has been communicating through said telephone line.
