  • Publication number: 20090304977
Abstract: A polycarbonate resin which is reduced in the change of hygroscopic-expansion coefficient with changing environ-mental humidity, is inhibited from warping, and is suitable for use as an optical material is provided with excellent productivity. The polycarbonate resin is obtained by reacting an aromatic dihydric phenol compound (2,2-bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)propane, etc.), a compound forming a carbonic ester (phosgene, etc.), and a chain terminator represented by the following general formula (A) (dodecyl 4-hydroxybenzoate, etc.). [Chemical formula 1] (A) (In the formula (A), n is an integer of 10-20.

  • Publication number: 20090207496
Abstract: There is provided a light diffusion plate for liquid crystal display devices which can be produced with an excellent productivity by an injection molding method, and have a thin thickness and a large size (wide area) and are excellent in dimensional stability, optical properties and mechanical strength. The present invention relates to a polycarbonate resin composition for light diffusion plates, comprising (A) 100 parts by weight of an aromatic polycarbonate resin having a viscosity-average molecular weight of not less than 12,000 and less than 15,000 and containing a low-molecular weight component having a molecular weight of less than 1,000 in an amount of not more than 2.5% by weight, and (B) 0.2 to 20 parts by weight of fine particles having a weight-average particle diameter of 0.7 to 30 ?m.

  • Patent number: 7157544
Abstract: A process for producing an aromatic polycarbonate oligomer according to an interfacial polymerization method comprising reacting an aqueous solution of a bisphenol compound and phosgene in the presence of an organic solvent in a reactor, removing reaction heat by cooling, utilizing vaporization latent heat of the organic solvent to be used, cooling vaporized organic solvent through a condenser and returning an exhaust gas from the condenser to the reactor and a process for producing an aromatic polycarbonate resin used the same.
