    Abstract: In a pull-assembling unit for automatically assembling a pull onto a slider body of a slide fastener, a slider transporting means includes a slider-body-transportation plate member having rectangular notch portions spaced at intervals of plural assembling sections along a top end edge thereof, each for accommodating the slider body. The slider-body-transportation plate member is adapted to be actuated in the slider-transportation path so as to draw a rectangular trajectory in a vertical plane. An actuation upper limit position of a top end of the rectangular notch portion is set to be above a slider-body-placing surface of the slider-transportation path and an actuation lower limit position of the top end of the notch portion is set to be at a retreat position below the slider-body-placing surface. Therefore, the slider-pull-assembling unit has a simple structure and is capable of assembling a pull onto a slider body accurately and securely at a high speed.

    Abstract: An automatic pull tab insertion unit of an insert molding machine can automatically insert a plurality of metal pull tab members fitted to respective sliders of slide fasteners into the insert molding machine in order to form a synthetic resin grip integral with each of the pull tab members. The pull tab insertion unit has a pull tab insertion member for inserting a plurality of pull tab members fitted to respective sliders into the insert molding machine, while holding the sliders, and a positioning member for causing the pull tab insertion device to hold the sliders with the respective pull tab members by pushing the sliders against the pull tab insertion member and positioning the pull tab members. The pull tab insertion member and the positioning device are arranged perpendicularly with each other and adapted to be vertically moved together by a lift-device and pivoted by 90.degree. between a horizontal plane and a vertical plane by a pivoting device.

    Abstract: A parts orientation feeding apparatus has a first conveyor and a second conveyor disposed in alignment on a parts feed path. A transfer mechanism is provided for transferring the parts from the first conveyor to the second conveyor. A parts orientation detector detects the orientation of each of the parts on the second conveyor. A control unit receives parts on the second conveyor. A control unit receives a parts orientation signal from the orientation detector and determines whether any of the parts are of an undesirable orientation. A parts remover responds to a command from the control unit and removes the parts having the undesired orientation. The plurality of parts detectors are disposed along the parts feed path downstream of the parts remover for detecting the parts and sending a detection signal to the control unit. A plurality of opening and shutting mechanisms are disposed successively one each at a downstream side of a corresponding one of the parts detectors.

    Abstract: An apparatus for attaching pull tabs automatically one at a time onto a slider body comprises a pull tab transport unit, a clamper applying unit and a clamping unit. The transport unit includes a pull tab transfer chute having a pair of elongate horizontal guide rails defining therebetween a guide slit along which a series of pull tabs are fed for attachment one at a time onto sliders transferred along a horizontally extending chute. A clamper pusher is provided for moving a clamper of the slider pivotally through 90.degree. to lie substantially parallel with the guide slit of the pull tab chute. A transfer conveyor operatively associated with the clamper applying unit is movable along a rectangular path to move and set the pull tab in position for connection and clamping with the slider.
