Abstract: Disclosed is a celiac diagnostic apparatus in which the characteristics of a filter for filtering a wave reflected by a tissue inside an object are made steep, and an ultrasonic wave capable of making a high-accuracy diagnosis for the object is used. C1, C2, and C3 are constituted using variable capacitance diodes. Three LC filters, i.e., an LC filter constituted by L1 and C1, an LC filter constituted by L2 and C2, and an LC filter constituted by L3 and C3 are serially connected to constitute the filter, whose cutoff characteristics is still practical even when the cutoff frequency exceeds 20 MHz.

Abstract: A sheet finishing apparatus for finishing a sheet, on which an image has been formed, conveyed from an image forming apparatus, the sheet finishing apparatus includes: a sheet ejecting member for ejecting the sheet after finishing; and an exit tray for receiving the sheet ejected by the sheet ejecting member after finishing is conducted. The exit tray includes a movable exit tray member on which the sheet is stacked, and a stationary exit tray member for supporting the movable exit tray member. The movable exit tray member has a sheet stacking surface on which the sheet is stacked, and a stopper portion provided adjacent to the sheet ejecting member to bring an edge of the sheet into contact with the stopper portion. The movable exit tray member is pivotally supported around a supporting shaft provided on a leading edge portion of the stationary exit tray member.

Abstract: A sorter, which sorts sheets transferred from an image forming apparatus to form a plurality of sheet stacks and staples each sheet stacks, is disclosed herewith. The sorter is provided with a plurality of bins arrayed in an upright direction for stacking the sorted sheets, and is provided also with a stapler to staple each sheet stack. The bin is adapted to swing horizontally between a first angular position to stack the sorted sheets and a second angular position to undergo the stapling of the sheet stack by the stapler. The stapler is adapted to move along the upright direction through a plurality of stapling positions, and staples each sheet set at each stapling position.
Abstract: An automatic document conveying device comprising a paper-feeder for sequentially separating one document sheet from a stack of document sheets loaded on a document loading table and for sequentially transporting each document sheet to a standby position upstream of an image exposure section and for halting each document sheet at the standby position, the standby position being variably determined by the length of each document sheet. A conveyor conveys each document sheet from the standby position to an exposure position on the image exposure section on a glass surface of the document loading table, each document is discharged after it is scanned and exposed by the image exposure section. The image exposure section is controlled to scan and expose a first document sheet, and a second document sheet is halted at the standby position while the first document is being scanned and exposed.
Abstract: A paper feed device and method for separating sheets of paper one by one from the bottom of a stack of paper loaded on a paper loading tray and for feeding the separated paper sheets consecutively. The feed device includes a rotatable hollow cylinder having a peripheral surface positioned below and close to the front end of the paper loading tray in the direction of paper sheet feed, and having an opening for drawing a paper sheet against the peripheral surface by vacuum suction. The vacuum suction is variable to set the suction pressure at the low level at the start of a paper sheet feed operation by the cylinder means, and if, after the predetermined time interval, the passage of the paper sheet is not detected, the vacuum suction pressure is increased to a higher level and maintained at the higher level to feed successive paper sheets. A paper sheet front end sensor, a conveyor, and a timer for setting a predetermined time interval after the start of a paper sheet operation, are also provided.

The sheet sorting machine has a sorting assembly to convey the sheets to the plural bins by the group; a positioning member to true up the sheets to a setting position in each of the bins; a member to fix the sheets in the bins; oscillator to move the bins, holding the sheets at the setting position in the bins, to a stapling position; and stapler to staple the sheets at the stapling position; in which the fixing member fixes the sheets before the oscillator sets the sheets to the stapling position.
Abstract: The invention relates to a document handling apparatus for use in a copying machine which separates a document from the bottom of a stack of documents on a loading plate to an exposure location, feeds back the document onto the top of the stack after exposure. The document handling apparatus has a separator arm fixed to a rotatable shaft which is driven intermittently by a drive system. The separator arm contacts the top surface of the stack of documents to be fed to the exposure location with the weight of the arm, loads the documents having been returned from the exposure location on the separator arm, moves downwardly with the circulation of the documents until being released from the bottom of the stack of the documents. A partially toothed gear of the drive system is mounted on a rotatable shaft which is geared with the pinion gear to rotate the rotatable arm in its toothed circumferential portion and is free from the pinion gear out of the toothed circumferential portion.
Abstract: The invention provides an apparatus for feeding a paper in which there are provided a stacker for placing a stack of papers and threefold cylinder for separating the lowermost paper by vacuum suction from the stack of papers placed on the stacker and sequentially feeding the separated paper one by one. The threefold cylinder is disposed below the stacker in the vicinity of the leading edge of the stacker in relation to the feeding direction. And, the threefold cylinder includes a first cylinder rotatable and provided with a number of through holes on the circumferential surface; a second cylinder, installed inside the first cylinder, provided with a slit-shaped opening on the circumferential surface; a third cylinder, installed inside the second cylinder, provided with a slit-shaped opening on the circumferential surface thereof.
