  • Patent number: 7752202
Abstract: Content that is appropriate according to a specification of client equipment is distributed without having to prepare content of a plurality of formats. When a data list request is received from a client, a server sets a content URL and conversion identification information indicating that the content is original content for content that does not require data conversion. In the case of content for which data conversion is necessary, a virtual URL embedded with data conversion specifying information and conversion identification information indicating the necessity of conversion are set the URL and returned to the client. The server then receives the URL from the client for analysis. If there is no data conversion specifying information, the content is transmitted as it. If data conversion specifying information is embedded, the content is sent to the client after data conversion in accordance with the data conversion specifying information.

  • Patent number: 7605378
Abstract: There is disclosed a charged-particle beam system equipped with a higher-order aberration corrector capable of correcting fifth-order spherical aberration and third-order chromatic aberration such that the primary trajectory of an electron beam is not affected by the strength of a transfer lens. The corrector is so adjusted that the image point of the corrector is located at a position shifted a distance of L0 from the principal plane of an objective lens toward the electron source. The transfer lens is so disposed that the position of the principal plane is coincident with the image point of the corrector. Therefore, the primary trajectory of the electron beam passes through the center of the transfer lens. Consequently, the primary trajectory is not affected by the strength of the transfer lens.

  • Patent number: 6928184
Abstract: A metrology instrument and method is offered which is capable of measuring the deviations between elements of an actual pattern at their joint without making any sample pattern for inspection in measuring and inspecting deviations produced at the joint portion when the pattern is drawn or transferred. The deviation ?X parallel to the joint portion is found from an image obtained for inspection. On the other hand, the dose distribution diagrams of both elements of the pattern on the opposite sides of the joint portion are calculated. These dose distribution diagrams are shifted by ?X along the joint portion and by a desired amount ?Y vertical to the joint portion. Then, the diagrams are superimposed together. The resulting image is compared with the image for the inspection and the correlation between them is found. The value of ?Y which minimizes the correlation (i.e., maximizes the degree of similarity) is found.

  • Patent number: 6614394
Abstract: A system using GPS data for locating a person requesting a support. The system includes a mobile terminal carried by a person to acquire the GPS data from GPS satellites and transmits the same upon a request by the person to a message center where the GPS data is processed to calculate the person(s position. The mobile terminal simply acquires the GPS data which is invalid for calculation of the position if the request is made where the GPS satellite is not available. For successfully locating the person's position, the mobile terminal acquires the GPS data regularly at different times in accordance with a time schedule and stores the time-series sets of the GPS data which are transmitted together with a current GPS data acquired in response to the support request, thereby giving the latest available position of the person if the current GPS data is found invalid.

  • Patent number: 6570532
Abstract: A support request processing system using GPS data for locating a person requesting a support. The system is supplemented with a mobile terminal to be carried by the person separately from a GPS terminal left in the vehicle. The mobile terminal transmits a support request signal by way of a radio communication to the GPS terminal which responds to receive the GPS data from the GPS satellite and transmits the data to a message center. Upon receiving the GPS data, the message center calculates the position of the GPS terminal and notifies a warning message for rescue of the person. With the inclusion of the mobile terminal, the system can estimate the location of the person around the GPS terminal or the vehicle even when the person is within buildings where the GPS data from the GPS satellites is not available.

  • Patent number: 5767515
Abstract: Rule-based control for charged-particle beam instrument, typified by a scanning electron microscope, capable of accurately controlling the excitation of plural lenses with a small amount of data. The instrument is equipped with a computer which is programmed with a fuzzy reasoning software inference engine, a pretreatment routine, a posttreatment routine, a rule base in which rules are stored, and a rule editor capable of editing the rules in the rule base. The fuzzy reasoning inference engine infers, by fuzzy reasoning, amounts (numerical values) which control the excitation of the lenses. The pretreatment routine normalizes parameters and enters the normalized variables into the inference engine. The posttreatment routine denormalizes output variables from the fuzzy reasoning inference engine.
