  • Patent number: 5906484
Abstract: The continuous oven for baking planar works according to the present invention comprises an oven main body, a work lifting unit for conveying works upward inside the oven main body in a sequential manner; a work lowering unit for conveying works downward inside the oven main body in a sequential manner; whereby the works are baked while being conveyed by the work lifting and lowering units in a substantially vertical direction. Thus, the works are conveyed vertically most of the time during the stay in the oven, and the floor space area necessary for the installation of the continuous oven can be therefore minimized. In particular, by arranging the works one over the other, typically in a mutually spaced relationship, in the work lifting and lowering units, it is possible to minimize the dead space inside the oven.

  • Patent number: 5591026
Abstract: In a baking oven for baking a relatively planar work such as semiconductor substrates, LCD panels and integrated circuit boards, a laterally elongated slot is formed in a shutter door which is moveable in the vertical direction. The oven main body is internally provided with a rack having a plurality of shelves which are each associated with the slot of the shutter door in such a manner that the work supported by each of the shelves of the rack may be aligned with the slot of the shutter door by appropriately determining the vertical position of the shutter door. Thus, by minimizing the area of the access opening of the oven main body, not only the loss of energy is minimized but also undesirable fluctuations in the internal temperature of the oven main body is minimized.

  • Patent number: 4769467
Abstract: Fluorogenic compounds are disclosed which are reactive with biologically important analytes including primary amines, secondary amines, and/or thiols and are of the general formula: ##STR1## wherein X is a group such as ##STR2## --CN, --CO.sub.2 CH.sub.3, or SO.sub.2 R, and wherein R is OR.sub.3, or Cl; R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are hydrogen atoms or alkyl groups having 1 to 3 carbon atoms and R.sub.3 is a phenyl or benzyl group. The inventive compounds form a fluorescent adduct with the above analytes at the number 7 position of the benzoxadiazole ring. The fluorescent adduct thereby formed enables detection of very minute amounts of analyte (picomoles) using conventional fluorescent analytical methods.
