  • Publication number: 20130308864
Abstract: There is provided an information processing apparatus including an image analysis unit to analyze image data, and a protagonist identification unit to identify a protagonist of an event including at least one set of image data. The protagonist identification unit identifies the protagonist of the event by using at least a parameter independent of an analysis of an image provided to the event. If the protagonist of the event is not able to be identified by using the parameter independent of the analysis of the image, the information processing apparatus makes the image analysis unit analyze the image data included in the event to identify the protagonist of the event.

  • Patent number: 6875280
Abstract: A substrate processing apparatus includes a chamber, a gas introducing portion, a gas discharge port, a substrate transfer gate, and a substrate moving member which moves the substrate between a substrate processing position where the substrate is processed in the chamber and a substrate transferring in-out position in the chamber where the substrate transferred into the chamber from the substrate transfer gate is located and where the substrate is located when the substrate is transferred out from the chamber through the substrate transfer gate. The gas introducing portion, the substrate processing position, the gas discharge port and the substrate transfer gate are disposed in this order. A gas restraining member which restrains processing gas for processing the substrate from flowing toward the substrate transfer gate is provided between the gas discharge port and the substrate transfer gate.

  • Patent number: 6693619
Abstract: A liquid crystal display apparatus includes a liquid crystal module for displaying an image thereon, a backlight for emitting light from the rear surface of the liquid crystal module, and an inverter for controlling the backlight. The inverter drives the backlight at a predetermined oscillation frequency, based on pulse signals which are pulse-width modulated and are in synchronization with vertical synchronization signals. The backlight is turned off while the liquid crystal module is being scanned for an image of the next field to be displayed, and is turned on when the scanning is complete and the liquid crystal module is ready to display the refreshed image. Accordingly, undesirable afterimages such as trailing do not appear in moving images.
