  • Patent number: 8646376
Abstract: A plurality of ring-shaped sealing members are spaced from each other on the outer periphery of each of first and second end caps that seal openings of first and second cylinder holes. Ring-shaped flow paths are formed between adjacent ring-shaped sealing members. Parts of air flow paths that supply and discharge compressed air to and from pressure chambers of the cylinder holes are formed by the ring-shaped flow paths.

  • Patent number: 5835623
Abstract: A method is used for discerning a specific type of a work, including a plurality of specified contoured portions forming parts of the work, from an image including the subject work. Each specified contoured portion, which may be defined by geometric characteristics, such as an area, a peripheral length of a specified contoured portion and a ratio between the area and peripheral length, is recognized in the image based on two-valued image data into which many-valued image data representative of the subject work is transformed with a threshold value. A position of the subject work is discerned based on a relative position of each two specified contoured portions defined by geometric characteristics, such as a distance between centers of each two specified contoured portions and an angle of a center line of each two specified contoured portions relative to a center line of another two specified contoured portions.

  • Patent number: 4586996
Abstract: A surface hardner for nylon lens comprising (a) a polyfunctional acrylic ester monomer, (b) a photoinitiator, and (c) a diluent, said photoinitiator consisting of a combination of a hydrogen abstraction type photoinitiator and an .alpha.-cleavage type photoinitiator, and optionally a silane compound containing at least one polymerizable unsaturated bond. Said surface hardner is effective for giving the nylon lens excellent impact resistance and wear resistance, and when the silane compound is incorporated, it can give also an excellent adhesion between the hardner layer and nylon lens.

  • Patent number: 4150933
Abstract: An apparatus for molding roofing panels having an insert portion extending from one end of the main body of the panel and offset stepwise from the surface of the main body. The apparatus comprises a lower die divided into a die segment for forming the insert portion and a die segment for forming the main body which have cavities conforming to the shapes of the insert portion and the main body of the panel respectively, and a movable hopper disposed to the front of the insert portion die segment and adapted to feed a material in a specified thickness. The main body die segment is initially held in its raised position with the bottoms of the two die segments positioned at the same level, and the movable hopper is reciprocated to feed the material into the combined cavity of the lower die to a uniform thickness. Subsequently an upper die is lowered into the lower die cavity to press the material, with the main body die segment also lowered by the amount of the offset of the panel insert portion.
